"If I were in charge of the universe, plot summaries would join factual errors on my list of high crimes against literature." - George R. R. Martin But if he were in charge of the universe, it wouldn't have been created in 6 days.... Perhaps 6 eons, but that would have been pushing it....

Some idiot put the culmination of the story in the description of the books in his website . I still might read it someday, but not anytime soon. Those types of endings irk me to no end. Give it a shot... really... The ending won't be so bad put in context.

Personally, I loved the ending. The climax was the most awesome discription I've ever read. I loved the white fire, and I'm actually gald Llew died.

Hey does anyone know how to pronounce Llwyddi? I do ;D ;D ;D It can be pronounced two ways, depending on your dialect.... Fl-with-ee or La-with-ee I prefer the second... "LL" technically is a voiceless lateral fricative. Not found in English or many other languages. To pronounce it, place your tongue AS IF to make regular "l". Breathe through loudly and release. Also, Welsh "ll" can be perceived as "fl" as "Floyd" or "L" in "Lloyd". "W" is pronounced two ways... Vowel - To represent English "long u" as in "tutu". Consonant - To represent English "w". "DD" is always a "th" which is equivalent to English "soft th" (or "dh") as in "bathe", "thy". Do not confuse this "hard th" of "bath", "thigh" "I" is pronouced between the "i" of "pita" or "spaghetti" and "short i" of "bit", "rich". However, when Welsh "i" precedes a vowel (an "iV" diphthong), it sounds like English "y". It is NEVER pronounced as the English "long i" of "bike". "Y" is pronounced with English "long e" as in "feet", then pull back your tongue WITHOUT rounding your lips. Alternatively, start with English "long u" as in "Peru and UNROUND your lips.

I prefer "Eccentric" to "psycho" And none of that is BS. It is simple grammatical rules of Gaelic/Welsh words. Most people here know I dabble in Gaelic as a hobby. ;D

Yes I know. ;D I love having other people around I can speak Gaelic with. I find that I get rusty if I don't use it often enough, which is why I'm including it in my novel. I wonder if he'll have any Gaelic in Robin Hood?

I would love it to continue, but at the same time, I don't want it to. It was a beautiful ending and I see it as inevitable from the choices Llew made. My thoughts exactly. I often wonder what would have happened if he had gone back. I'm not ashamed to admit it, but that ending always brings a tear to my eye. The part where Goewyn says to Tegid "It hurts" gets me going everytime. How can someone write a chapter that is soooo emotive? There is a cd by Enya called 'The Celts'. The last track on the cd (To Go Beyond (ii)) always reminds me of this bit - I think it was on once when i was reading it and the memory has stayed with me. It's a beautiful, haunting piece.

That's an interesting insight. I have that CD of Enya's.... I'm going to listen to that song again now. I agree that the ending was very emotional. The entire series is a masterpiece, IMO.
