Just be glad you don't play Monopoly with my dad. I was, I dunno, 6 years old. I could barely count my money. My dad was like a cut-throat mob boss who wouldn't let anyone quit until he had everyone so in debt to him, we wanted to declare bankruptcy. The Monopoly board looked like downtown Detroit, as my dad invented any number of ways to condemn houses, hotels - even repossessing other player's game pieces. Yeah, it was great. That's AWESOME!!!!!! I've played Monopoly with people like that before too... namely, ME! ;D

I'm surprised there aren't more. The reason I put game in "s is simply that you would need to carry many different things to furnish all sorts of hobbies, and having music might not hurt either. Also, I've seem some wonderful set-ups to rent out LAN party space. You can make quite a wad of cash doin that. I know that the 18-25k (if school is in session ro not) pop town I live in would give someplace like that tons of business. Countless college students, high-schoolers, and above could use some place like that to go to an hang out, look at stuff, buy, play, etc.

Dude, we used to trade up lan gaming in my basement or two of my friends' basements. There was this one time, we had a sort of nerd death-match where the tech geeks from the public school and my friends got together and had a 25-person Unreal Tournament/Jedi Knight II all-nighter; to handle that many computers, we spend a week rewiring my friend's basement, adding another breaker box, and pre-running all the lan cables to the switch. It was awesome.
A place to rent out space that had all that stuff predone would be awesome--but yet, we would've missed out on the fun of setting stuff up (not to mention having to come up with the cash to rent a place).

But not many people actually enjoy setting up like you do, heh. I saw a place that rented the LAN pre-set stuff and, man, they had tons of business. I think that would definitely be hit anywhere couple with a nice place with stuff to buy etc.

Someone mentioned looking for an unusual game? Check this site out. I'm pretty sure it has nearly anything you could want. www.funagain.com/control/main

My fav board game of all time, Monopoly. A genius game, and my family LOVES to play. Although we are somewhat cut throat, and I tend to make ridiculous deals in my favor, although my family has learned from their mistake of accepting the deals. Well anyways, love the game!

Trivial Persuit is popular in my family, hence us having three different versions of it (Regular, Junior, & LotR). My sister and I have a great board game called Moods. It's a really fun acting type game.

Hero Quest is one of my all time favourites. I was always the barbarian fella, ooh he so sexy with all his muscles ;D Games Workshop's Space Hulk, I loved that too. Actually, I loves all the Games Workshop stuff, especially all the TLotR stuff they have right now. Does anyone here play and World of Darkness games? I prefer them muchly over DnD, more storytelling and role playing going on rather than many slayerings of bad monsters. But then again, there is this DnD group a friend of mine runs that... well... we won't go there on this forum

I have an addiction to Monopoly. I know the order of all the property, and what most things cost. I also love Risk. We got the 2210 A.D. edition, and that's better than the origianal.

Haha. I know how you feel. My dad's an accountant, so he used to loan us money and charge us like 200% interest. Also when we were like 6.
Btw, I love board games. I'm trying to get my friends into Risk again (I've got the LOTR edition, which is fun). My roommate and I played Settlers of Catan just this afternoon. Awesome game.
We played more cards in high school, though. Hearts, Spades, and the ever popular ERS

I like Monopoly and Risk a lot. My favorite is probably EuroRails and Brit Rails. Anybody play those?
