A friend and I were talking about a movie or series of movies based on The Song of Albion. I wonder if Mr. Lawhead has ever been approached to adapt his novels into movies. It would be quite a project.

Byzanthium would make for a great movie. But alas so would The Celtic Crusades (make a trilogy out of it). I just saw a preview of a movie to come out in theaters in May, which reminded me alot of Lawheads books: Kindom of Heaven Movieedited: I meant the Celtic Crusades and not the Pendragon Cycle

I think that his trilogy of The Celtic Crusade would work out best into becoming a good series of movies. I would personally love to see The Pendragon Cycle be turned into one but so much would have to go right in the creation and casting for me to ever consider it an option. But thats just the opinion of a perfectionist.
Anyways, I'm new as you can tell by my one post but I want to know what people came up for the casting calls to some of his books. I look and I look but not a one can I find =P

I found that music very cheesy. I don't think it could ever do it justice. But I know someone who could. htt://www.edgen.com

LOL! Yes.... He's the other composer. I was too lazy to browse into my MP3 collection to figure it out.

Eldon, what was cheesy about the music? I thought it was written in a style rivaling Clannad. IMHO,Maybe it's just the style, but I wasn't crazy about it. Not epic enough. A little too modern. I just know that there is better stuff out there that could be used. I'm a very picky guy.

Could any of you see a movie being made out of the Search for Fierra and Siege of Dome books? I agree with what has already been said about what might make for good movies but I thought these two books might also have some potential.

And it's been a very long time since I've seen really good scifi. (Ever since Crusade & Farscape went off the air.) That would be really sweet. Ahhhh........ sci....fi.... (drools).....

I figure, if they can make DUNE and StarGate, they can do the Empyrion Sagas....

So, how about a casting call for Albion's major characters?
My list is as follows--and keep in mind I'm not trying to match people to their descriptions in the books, I'm trying to pick people who I think could best represent the character:
Lewis/LLew: Trevor Fehrman Simon/Sian Hy: Dominic Monaghan Meldron: Rupert Everett Tegid: Alec Newman Medwyn: Patrick Stewart Ollathir: Ian McKellan Scatha: Cate Blanchett (Naturally, the late Katherine Hepburn would be better, but anyone who saw The Aviator knows CB can pull off genius) Cynan: James McAvoy Govan: Kate Beckinsale Goewyn: Daniella Amavia Gwenllian: Gwyneth Paltrow

Here is a good list (IMHO): Llew - Jerry O' Connell - (We'll just have teach him how to act a little better.) Siawn Hy - Jude Law Ollathir - Sting Goewyn - Kate Beckinsale Meldron - Christian Bale ...just to name a few. My friend and I had a real hard time trying to cast these characters. Tegid was our hardest. I don't think we could settle on anyone.
