HOOD would be dynamite - almost like he wrote it to BECOME a movie! *crosses fingers*

I concur!! *crosses fingers also...pauses...crosses toes for good measure*
Who do you think would be a good actor/actress for a charater, or would it be better with unknown actors?!?

I voted for the Pendragon Cycle... it just has so much depth. Specifically Avalon would make a great flick, including bits of the rest of the story in flashbacks. Though I would have voted Empyrion if it had been on there!

HOOD would be dynamite - almost like he wrote it to BECOME a movie! *crosses fingers* I agree! If you ask me, its time for a GOOD Robin Hood story to come to the big screen! *shudders thinking of the Kevin Costner version* my vote goes for DK or SOA! Both of these would be great because of the characters alone! And the Pendragon books would be great too because hollywood has NEVER come out with a good King Arthur story either!

I'm saving the Pendragon series for a while. It is hard for me to think about King Arthur without thinking about Monty Python: Holy Grail. I know that throughout those books I'm going to be making ridiculous connections at any possible point. But my vote would be to see Dragon King made into a movie.

With a large enough budget for battle scenes, I think SoA would make an amazing film. However, I doubt they'd make 3 movies, they'd probably smoosh all 3 books into one picture somehow. Murderers...

King Raven Trilogy, hands down. Though Tuck isn't done yet, I'm sure it will be amazing and worth being made into a movie. But, yes...Hollywood probably would butcher it by making it all into one movie. Of course, if the one movie was 12 hours long, it would probably work.

If Stephen were to sell the rights to one of his books how much do you think it would cost? I'm serious here. Let's be more specific. How much do you think it would/should cost to buy the Pendragon Cycle (minus Avalon and the Grail books). Do you think a devoted member of his website would get a discount?

I think there is a lot that goes into this so putting a price tag on the rights to the books isn't a simple issue. There are the rights to the books and the series just as they are and then there are the rights to them being made into movies, advertisement, merchandising, etc. I'm guessing there is a lot more into it than that as well but I'm not a lawyer.
I don't know if I could really put a dollar value on the Pendragon Cycle. For me there are to many unknowns.

I would like to see a movie trilogy made out on EACH of the five Pendragon Cycle novels: one movie for each book in Taliesin, Merlin and Arthur; one movie for each of the last three books in Pendragon, putting the first book as an intro to the second book; and then split Grail into three movies. If that makes a big success, they could also make a trilogy of Avalon.

The only one of those that I've read so far (and I certainly plan to read them all) is Byzantium and if if were made accurately at all it would have to be rated R. Plus, I don't think it would do too well in box office sales....
