Adding to my "to read" list:
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon. I've heard good things about this one, so I may go ahead and start. I know--my reading habits are terrible.

Lessee... right now I'm rereading Song of Albion, finishing up the Paradise War, deciding I dislike the Time Traveler's Wife, and beginning Eragon. Hopefully I will receive some Charles Williams books tonight (It's my birthday!)

Eragon's great, as far as I've gotten in it.
I have Harry Potter: HBP as my next book to read.... But I have to wait until June.

dinadan, you're reading The Moonstone soon? Be sure to let us know what you think. I loved the book when I read it. Have you read The Woman in White? I have finished The Moonstone and, as you requested, I'll give my two cents on it. I thought it was overall very good. I liked the fact that the Brahmins ended up getting the diamond back; the opium reinactment was a bit over the top--that scene strained my credulity, even for a fictional world. At any rate, it was a good read, although I found Miss Clack and Betteredge to be absolutely infuriating narrators...overall, however, I'd still reccomened the read. And no, I haven't read The Woman in White.

Miss Clack infuriating? Never! Seriously, glad you liked it. The narrative style is, to me, very intreguing; I doubt I could pull it off, but I would love to try. If you get a chance, do try The Woman in White. It boasts one of the great book-dependant villians (as opposed to independant villians like Quilp).

I just finished Neverwhere a coupla days ago and, I'm not exactly sure why, but I think it might be one of the best novels I've ever read in my life, lol. I'd have to re-read some of my other fav's to compare. Certainly, it has superiors on a literary standpoint, but that book drew me in and kept me there more than most novels I've read in awhile. It definitely outdoes Stardust by volumes, avoiding nearly every pitfall to that was present in that novel. Anyways, I'll proabably read American Gods now and from there I'm thinking something a little more epic. Farseer Trilogy, Prince of Nothing, Knight/Wizard, or Erikson (can't remember his series' name atm...). I also need to re-read some of my old favorite I haven't picked up in some years now...

I'm starting two books by Octavia E. Butler called The Parable of the Sower and The Parable of the Talents. They came reccomended to me as Dune-esque, so when I finish them I'll post a Yay or Nay on here for the books.

It and it's follow-up books have been in my mental 'to read' list for years, though. I just feel like I want to get the cream of the new crop first before I go into the old-school stuff...

I'm trying to find the 3rd Death Gate book by Weis and Hickman. After I get that, I'll probably read the rest of the series.

I just finished reading Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier. Really good, creepy book, but different from Rebecca. It was creepy in a "Wuthering Heights" sort of way. I think I might read Frankenstien next.
