Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.

The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. -- Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. -- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.

A great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. -- He gives His beloved sleep.

They stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep. -- Absent from the body ... present with the Lord.

The blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! -- The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. -- It is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me." By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Abel ... brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering. Christ ... has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. -- Having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus.

Who knows the power of Your anger?

From the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" -- The LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. -- Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. -- Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.

God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. -- That He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Thus says the Lord GOD, "I will yet for this be enquired of."

You do not have because you do not ask.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. -- This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. -- If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. -- Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. -- Men always ought to pray and not lose heart.

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. -- You will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?

I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me. -- O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand. -- It is the LORD. Let Him do what seems good to Him.

Righteous are You, O LORD, when I plead with You; yet let me talk with You about Your judgments.

He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver. -- Whom the LORD loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. -- It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. -- Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

Rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. -- These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. -- "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. -- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. -- Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. -- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. -- This is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Oh, that I knew where I might find Him!

Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon his God.

You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. -- Seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. -- Now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

Lo, I am with you always. -- I will never leave you nor forsake you. -- Another Helper, ... the Spirit of truth, ... dwells with you and will be in you.

Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the LORD.

Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my mind and my heart. -- Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. -- I thought about my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments. -- Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -- We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins. -- Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

February 26 -- Evening

There was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.

This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, ... and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth. -- An everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure. -- That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

We declare to you glad tidings, that promise which was made to the fathers. God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. -- I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Because I live, you will live also. -- I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

February 27 -- Evening

God ... gives ... liberally and without reproach.

"Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

The grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, has abounded to many. The free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.

God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God ... has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He has made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. -- God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD.

"He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Then those who heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest, even to the last.

Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. -- If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence toward God.

All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. -- A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work nor device nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave where you are going.

"Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry." ... "You fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?" So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. -- The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
