December 27 -- Morning We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Here we have no continuing city. -- You have a better and an enduring possession ... in heaven. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials. -- There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest. We who are in this tent groan, being burdened. -- God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. -- Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:18. Hebrews 13:14 -- Hebrews 10:34. Luke 12:32. 1 Peter 1:6 -- Job 3:17. 2 Corinthians 5:4 -- Revelation 21:4. Romans 8:18 -- 2 Corinthians 4:17.)

December 27 -- Evening He Himself is our peace. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. -- By Him to reconcile all things to Himself, ... having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight. -- Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. -- Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (Ephesians 2:14. 2 Corinthians 5:19,21 -- Colossians 1:20-22 -- Colossians 2:14 -- Ephesians 2:15. John 14:27.)

December 28 -- Morning Your sins are forgiven you. I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more. -- Who can forgive sins but God alone? I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. -- Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity. -- Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity? God in Christ forgave you. -- The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. -- Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. (Mark 2:5. Jeremiah 31:34 -- Mark 2:7. Isaiah 43:25 -- Psalm 32:1-2 -- Micah 7:18. Ephesians 4:32 -- 1 John 1:7-9. Psalm 103:12 -- Romans 6:14,18.)

December 28 -- Evening We wish to see Jesus. In the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; the desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. -- I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. -- Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. -- Having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. (John 12:21. Isaiah 26:8. Psalm 145:18. Matthew 18:20 -- John 14:18 -- Matthew 28:20. Hebrews 12:1-2. 1 Corinthians 13:12 -- Philippians 1:23. 1 John 3:2-3.)

December 29 -- Morning Understand what the will of the Lord is. This is the will of God, your sanctification. -- Acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you. -- This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. -- We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. We ... do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. -- The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ... give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 5:17. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 -- Job 22:21 -- John 17:3 -- 1 John 5:20. Colossians 1:9 -- Ephesians 1:17-18.)

December 29 -- Evening Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Enoch walked with God. -- Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? -- It is good for me to draw near to God. The LORD is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. When in their trouble they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way ... and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. (James 4:8. Genesis 5:24 -- Amos 3:3 -- Psalm 73:28. 2 Chronicles 15:2,4. Jeremiah 29:11-13. Hebrews 10:19-22.)

December 30 -- Morning Blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. You, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight - if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel. -- That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless. -- Sincere and without offense till the day of Christ. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. (1 Corinthians 1:8. Colossians 1:21-23 -- Philippians 2:15. 2 Peter 3:14 -- Philippians 1:10. Jude 1:24-25.)

December 30 -- Evening He will guard the feet of His saints. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. -- He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean. I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble. Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil. The Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen! (1 Samuel 2:9. 1 John 1:6-7 -- John 13:10. Proverbs 4:11-12,14-15,25-27. 2 Timothy 4:18.)

December 31 -- Morning The LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place. I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself. -- In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them and carried them all the days of old. -- As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the LORD alone led him. Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. -- This is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death. Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you. -- Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Thus far the LORD has helped us. (Deuteronomy 1:31. Exodus 19:4 -- Isaiah 63:9 -- Deuteronomy 32:11-12. Isaiah 46:4 -- Psalm 48:14. Psalm 55:22 -- Matthew 6:25,32. 1 Samuel 7:12.)

December 31 -- Evening There remains very much land yet to be possessed. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Let us go on to perfection. -- Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment. "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. There remains ... a rest for the people of God. -- Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; they will see the land that is very far off. (Joshua 13:1. Philippians 3:12. Hebrews 6:1 -- 2 Peter 1:5-7. Philippians 1:9. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Hebrews 4:9 -- Isaiah 33:17.)
