December 19 -- Evening He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young. I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. ... I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way. -- We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses. They brought little children to Him. And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant. -- The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. -- You were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. -- "I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down," says the Lord GOD. (Isaiah 40:11. Matthew 15:32 -- Hebrews 4:15. Mark 10:13,16. Psalm 119:176 -- Luke 19:10 -- 1 Peter 2:25. Luke 12:32 -- Ezekiel 34:15.)

December 20 -- Morning He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world. That we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you, ... for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. -- Whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. -- Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. -- God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. (Ephesians 1:4. Ephesians 1:4. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 -- Romans 8:29-30 -- 1 Peter 1:2. Ezekiel 36:26 -- 1 Thessalonians 4:7.)

December 20 -- Evening If the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be? Have faith in God. -- Without faith it is impossible to please Him. -- With God all things are possible. Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? "My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." -- "Try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. -- LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power. We should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. (2 Kings 7:2. Mark 11:22 -- Hebrews 11:6 -- Matthew 19:26. Isaiah 50:2. Isaiah 55:8-9 -- Malachi 3:10. Isaiah 59:1 -- 2 Chronicles 14:11. 2 Corinthians 1:9.)

December 21 -- Morning The days of your mourning shall be ended. In the world you will have tribulation. -- The whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. -- We who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. (Isaiah 60:20. John 16:33 -- Romans 8:22-23 -- 2 Corinthians 5:4. Revelation 7:14-17.)

December 21 -- Evening Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing? The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. -- While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease. The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him. -- God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is." Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink. Do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. -- Trust ... in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. (Mark 4:38. Psalm 145:9. Genesis 9:3 -- Genesis 8:22. Nahum 1:7 -- Genesis 21:17,19. Matthew 6:31,32 -- 1 Timothy 6:17.)

December 22 -- Morning Your work of faith. This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent. Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. -- Faith works through love. -- He who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. -- We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. -- Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other. Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power. -- It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (1 Thessalonians 1:3. John 6:29. James 2:17 -- Galatians 5:6 -- Galatians 6:8 -- Ephesians 2:10 -- Titus 2:14. 2 Thessalonians 1:3,11 -- Philippians 2:13.)

December 22 -- Evening Where is the promise of His coming? Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all." -- Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:4. Jude 1:14-15 -- Revelation 1:7. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Titus 2:11-13.)

December 23 -- Morning Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me. "I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the LORD, "thoughts of peace and not of evil." -- "There is no peace," says the LORD, "for the wicked." In Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace. It pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, ... having made peace through the blood of His cross. -- Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, ... that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. -- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 27:5. Jeremiah 29:11 -- Isaiah 48:22. Ephesians 2:13-14. Colossians 1:19-20 -- Romans 3:24-26 -- 1 John 1:9. Isaiah 26:4.)

December 23 -- Evening God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. As the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. As the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. -- I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father. -- No one comes to the Father except through Me. -- He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. -- For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. (1 John 5:11. John 5:26,21. John 11:25-26 -- John 10:11,17-18 -- John 14:6 -- 1 John 5:12 -- Colossians 3:3-4.)

December 24 -- Morning If you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, ... and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ?s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed. December 25 -- Morning The kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared. I have loved you with an everlasting love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. -- The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. -- Great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh. As the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. (Titus 3:4. Jeremiah 31:3. 1 John 4:9-10. Galatians 4:4-5 -- John 1:14 -- 1 Timothy 3:16. Hebrews 2:14.)

December 25 -- Evening Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. -- For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. He ... did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all. -- Still having one son, his beloved, he ... sent him. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! -- Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. (2 Corinthians 9:15. Psalm 100:1-2,4 -- Isaiah 9:6. Romans 8:32 -- Mark 12:6. Psalm 107:21 -- Psalm 103:1. Luke 1:46-47.)

December 26 -- Morning Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. You know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. -- As you have ... received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. -- He who endures to the end shall be saved. -- The ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. By faith you stand. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. He who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. (1 Corinthians 15:58. 1 Corinthians 15:58 -- Colossians 2:6-7 -- Matthew 24:13 -- Luke 8:15. 2 Corinthians 1:24. John 9:4. Galatians 6:8-10.)

December 26 -- Evening He is ... able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. -- Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. -- He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. -- Is anything too hard for the LORD? Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. (Hebrews 7:25. John 14:6 -- Acts 4:12. John 10:27-28 -- Philippians 1:6 -- Genesis 18:14. Jude 1:24-25.)
