November 4 -- Evening Prince of Peace. He will judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with justice. The mountains will bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, like showers that water the earth. In His days the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more. -- Glory to God ... on earth peace, goodwill toward men! Through the tender mercy of our God, ... the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. -- Peace through Jesus Christ; He is Lord of all. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. -- Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. -- The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Isaiah 9:6. Psalm 72:2-3,6-7 -- Luke 2:14. Luke 1:78-79 -- Acts 10:36. John 16:33 -- John 14:27 -- Philippians 4:7.)

November 5 -- Morning Also take for yourself the finest of spices ... and you shall make from these a holy anointing oil. It shall not be poured on man's flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. -- One Spirit. -- Diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. Your God has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions. -- God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. -- God does not give the Spirit by measure. Of His fullness we have all received. -- As the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. -- He who ... has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Exodus 30:23,25. Exodus 30:32 -- Ephesians 4:4 -- 1 Corinthians 12:4. Psalm 45:7 -- Acts 10:38 -- John 3:34. John 1:16 -- 1 John 2:27 -- 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. Galatians 5:22-23.)

November 5 -- Evening The form of this world is passing away. All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died. Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. -- For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. -- The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. LORD, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. -- When they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. (1 Corinthians 7:31. Genesis 5:27. James 1:9-11 -- James 4:14 -- 1 John 2:17. Psalm 39:4 -- 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4.)

November 6 -- Morning When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. -- God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. -- When He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. -- It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (Colossians 3:4. John 11:25 -- 1 John 5:11-12. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 -- 1 John 3:2 -- 1 Corinthians 15:43. John 14:3.)

November 6 -- Evening Lead me in Your truth and teach me. When ... the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. -- You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. -- All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. -- The Holy Scriptures ... are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. -- The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. -- If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God. -- Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray. (Psalm 25:5. John 16:13 -- 1 John 2:20. Isaiah 8:20 -- 2 Timothy 3:16-17 -- 2 Timothy 3:15. Psalm 32:8 -- Matthew 6:22 -- John 7:17 -- Isaiah 35:8.)

November 7 -- Morning Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! -- How great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You! This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise. -- Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. That we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. How great is its goodness and how great its beauty! -- The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, and Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. (Psalm 107:8. Psalm 34:8 -- Psalm 31:19. Isaiah 43:21 -- Ephesians 1:5-6,12. Zechariah 9:17 -- Psalm 145:9-12.)

November 7 -- Evening Indeed we count them blessed who endure. We ... glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. -- No chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. -- My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. -- Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (James 5:11. Romans 5:3-5 -- Hebrews 12:11 -- James 1:2-4,12 -- 2 Corinthians 12:9,10.)

November 8 -- Morning Let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. Gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. -- Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ... above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken. And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; ... we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation." Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (1 Thessalonians 5:8. 1 Peter 1:13 -- Ephesians 6:14,16-17. Isaiah 25:8-9. Hebrews 11:1.)

November 8 -- Evening The children of Israel encamped before them like two little flocks of goats, while the Syrians filled the countryside. "Thus says the LORD, 'Because the Syrians have said, "The LORD is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys," therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the LORD.'" And they encamped opposite each other for seven days. So it was that on the seventh day the battle was joined; and the children of Israel killed one hundred thousand foot soldiers of the Syrians in one day. -- You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. "They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you," says the LORD, "to deliver you." (1 Kings 20:27. 1 Kings 20:28-29 -- 1 John 4:4. Isaiah 41:10. Jeremiah 1:19.)

November 9 -- Morning I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people. I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there is no savior. -- There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. -- There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Mighty God. -- He made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name. -- We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. -- Inasmuch as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same. (Psalm 89:19. Isaiah 43:11 -- 1 Timothy 2:5 -- Acts 4:12. Isaiah 9:6 -- Philippians 2:7-9 -- Hebrews 2:9 -- Hebrews 2:14.)

November 9 -- Evening Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice. Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. -- He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, ... those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am. -- Then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. -- If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the LORD your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. The dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. (Psalm 50:5. Hebrews 9:28 -- Hebrews 9:15. John 17:24 -- Mark 13:27 -- Deuteronomy 30:4. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.)

November 10 -- Morning Fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. I beseech you ..., brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. -- Just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. -- In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. -- I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. (Colossians 1:10. Romans 12:1-2 --Romans 6:19 -- Galatians 6:15-16. John 15:8 -- John 15:16.)

November 10 -- Evening I sought him, but I did not find him. Return to the LORD your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity; take words with you, and return to the LORD. Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity; receive us graciously." Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God." ... But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! -- It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. -- Shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. (Song of Songs 3:1. Hosea 14:1-2. James 1:13-14,16-17. Psalm 27:14 -- Lamentations 3:26 -- Luke 18:7. Psalm 62:1,5.)

November 11 -- Morning He led them on safely. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice. Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. -- In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them and carried them all the days of old. They did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them. -- So You lead Your people, to make Yourself a glorious name. Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face. -- Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. (Psalm 78:53. Proverbs 8:20. Exodus 23:20 -- Isaiah 63:9. Psalm 44:3 -- Isaiah 63:14. Psalm 5:8 -- Psalm 43:3-4.)

November 11 -- Evening You were washed, ... you were sanctified, ... you were justified. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. -- The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Christ ... loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. -- To her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. -- Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. -- Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. (1 Corinthians 6:11. 1 John 1:7 -- Isaiah 53:5. Ephesians 5:25-27 -- Revelation 19:8 -- Hebrews 10:22. Romans 8:33 -- Psalm 32:1-2.)
