April 29 -- Evening The blessed hope, ... the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus. -- Whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things. -- When He comes ... to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe. The whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. And not only that, but we also ... groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. -- Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. -- When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Titus 2:13. Hebrews 6:19-20 -- Acts 3:21 -- 2 Thessalonians 1:10. Romans 8:22-23 -- 1 John 3:2 -- Colossians 3:4. Revelation 22:20.)

April 30 -- Morning Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. The God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. By this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. -- If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. -- Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. -- By this, love has been perfected among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. (1 John 2:5. Hebrews 13:20-21. 1 John 2:3 -- John 14:23 -- 1 John 3:6-7 -- 1 John 4:17.)

April 30 -- Evening He who is slow to wrath has great understanding. The LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering." -- The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Be imitators of God as dear children, and walk in love. -- The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. -- This is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. When you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this finds favor with God. Christ ... suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously. Be angry, and do not sin. (Proverbs 14:29. Exodus 34:6 -- 2 Peter 3:9. Ephesians 5:1-2 -- Galatians 5:22-23 -- 1 Peter 2:19-21,23. Ephesians 4:26.)

May 1 -- Morning The fruit of the Spirit is ... peace. To be spiritually minded is life and peace. God has called us to peace. -- Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. -- The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day. -- You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. And My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. -- Whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil. Great peace have those who love Your law. (Galatians 5:22. Romans 8:6. 1 Corinthians 7:15 -- John 14:27 -- Romans 15:13. 2 Timothy 1:12 -- Isaiah 26:3. Isaiah 32:17-18 -- Proverbs 1:33. Psalm 119:165.)

May 1 -- Evening The LORD is There [Jehovah - Shammah]. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. I saw no temple ... for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and the Lamb is its light. I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. -- Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. Judah shall abide forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted; for the LORD dwells in Zion. -- Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst, says the LORD. -- There shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. (Ezekiel 48:35. Revelation 21: 3. Revelation 21:22-23. Psalm 17:15 -- Psalm 73:25. Joel 3:20-21 -- Zechariah 2:10 -- Revelation 22:3.)

May 2 -- Morning Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it. Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. -- Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. -- My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. -- "Am I a God near at hand," says the LORD, "and not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?" says the LORD. "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" says the LORD. Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built! -- Thus says the high and lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." -- You are the temple of the living God. (Genesis 28:16. Matthew 18:20 -- Matthew 28:20 -- Exodus 33:14. Psalm 139:7-8 -- Jeremiah 23:23-24. 1 Kings 8:27 -- Isaiah 57:15 -- 2 Corinthians 6:16.)

May 2 -- Evening Keep yourselves from idols. My son, give me your heart. -- Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before their face that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them? -- Regard your members which are on the earth as dead to fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. -- Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things. If riches increase, do not set your heart on them. -- My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. -- The LORD looks at the heart. (1 John 5:21. Proverbs 23:26 -- Colossians 3:2. Ezekiel 14:3 -- Colossians 3:5 -- 1 Timothy 6:9-11. Psalm 62:10 -- Proverbs 8:19. Matthew 6:21 -- 1 Samuel 16:7.)

May 3 -- Morning You are to be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. -- You are to be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine. You were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. You are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. -- Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed. -- Be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. -- He who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. -- Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Matthew 5:48. Genesis 17:1 -- Leviticus 20:26. 1 Corinthians 6:20. Colossians 2:10 -- Titus 2:14 -- 2 Peter 3:14. Psalm 119:1 -- James 1:25 -- Psalm 139:23-24.)

May 3 -- Evening Perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. -- Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. -- Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. -- Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a pledge. -- For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (2 Corinthians 7:1. 2 Corinthians 7:1. Psalm 51:6 -- Titus 2:12 -- Matthew 5:16 -- Philippians 3:12. 1 John 3:3 2 Corinthians 5:5 -- Ephesians 4:12-13.)

May 4 -- Morning Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. -- While I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. -- O LORD, do not be far from me; O my Strength, hasten to help me. Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm, and there is nothing too hard for You. -- Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us. -- Shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. (Isaiah 59:1. Psalm 138:3 -- Daniel 9:21. Psalm 27:9 -- Psalm 22:19. Jeremiah 32:17 -- 2 Corinthians 1:10 -- Luke 18:7-8.)

May 4 -- Evening I have glorified You on the earth. My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. -- I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. "Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?" And they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them. -- This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it. Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God? Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. -- You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased. -- All bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. You are worthy, ... for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth. (John 17:4. John 4:34 -- John 9:4. Luke 2:49-50 -- John 11:4,40. Luke 2:52 -- Luke 3:22 -- Luke 4:22. Revelation 5:9-10.)

May 5 -- Morning Do not be anxious, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?" For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. O fear the LORD, you His saints, for there is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. -- No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You. I want you to be without care. -- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. -- Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? -- Have faith in God. (Matthew 6:31-32. Psalm 34:9-10 -- Psalm 84:11-12. 1 Corinthians 7:32 -- Philippians 4:6. Matthew 10:29-31 -- Mark 4:40 -- Mark 11:22.)

May 5 -- Evening He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night. As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. -- There will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade at your right hand. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore. -- The LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Psalm 105:39. Psalm 103:13-14. Psalm 121:6 -- Isaiah 4:6. Psalm 121:5,8 -- Exodus 13:21-22. Hebrews 13:8.)

May 6 -- Morning Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. A just God and a Savior. The LORD is well pleased for His righteousness' sake; He will exalt the law and make it honorable. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them. -- Whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. -- He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. -- Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. -- To him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness. (Psalm 85:10. Isaiah 45:21. Isaiah 42:21. 2 Corinthians 5:19 -- Romans 3:25-26 -- Isaiah 53:5 -- Romans 8:33 -- Romans 4:5.)

May 6 -- Evening How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come? Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. -- As we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. The Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ... will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace to you." But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. -- He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve; after that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once. If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (1 Corinthians 15:35. 1 John 3:2 -- 1 Corinthians 15:49. Philippians 3:20-21. Luke 24:36-37 -- 1 Corinthians 15:5-6. Romans 8:11.)
