April 22 -- Morning If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will. And he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him. God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering. -- Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. -- We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. -- A ransom for many. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. -- I will love them freely. -- The Son of God ... loved me and gave Himself for me. April 22 -- Evening Great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. Fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. April 23 -- Morning The LORD was my support. Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains; truly, in the LORD our God Is the salvation of Israel. -- The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. -- Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. -- The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. -- So we may boldly say, "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. April 23 -- Evening All we like sheep have gone astray. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. -- There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands. April 24 -- Morning The LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. Trust in Him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. -- David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. -- God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. -- I have surely seen the oppression of my people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. April 24 -- Evening The eyes of all wait on You. He gives to all life and breath and all things. -- The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. -- Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. The same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. April 25 -- Morning You shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins. You know that He was manifested to take away our sins. -- That we, being dead to sins, might live to righteousness. -- He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. The LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. -- Thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer ... that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations. -- He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. -- Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. -- Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. -- You were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. Be imitators of God as dear children, and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. April 28 -- Morning Behold the Lamb of God. It is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Therefore, when He came into the world, He said, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Your will, O God.'" -- He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, ... but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, ... manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him ... that your faith and hope would be in God. April 28 -- Evening I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected. -- Leaving the elementary principles of doctrine about Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God. -- The path of the just is like the shining light that shines brighter and brighter until the perfect day. I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. April 29 -- Morning Consider what great things He has done for you. You shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. You are also to consider in your heart that, as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you. I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but now I keep Your word. -- The LORD has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death. -- He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.
