I am excited at the fact he talked about the "swanning aristocrats". That means we are going to be treated to some of that great SRL dialogue! I am giddy with anticipation.

I must say, I'm not sure that the tale has Celtic roots (except maybe in a very basic way...the way that, say, the "quest" story is supposedly Celtic in origin); I was afraid he'd Celticize something that is largely Saxon in origin. Makes me just a bit sad. Hi, Dinadan - What makes you think the story has "Saxon" roots? I understand your doubt, though. I address it in an essay at the back of the book which details my reasons - historical and otherwise - for doing what I did with the story and setting it when and where I did. This may help ease your sadness and maybe even cheer you up a bit.
