Hmmm... does have a bit of a shape to it... Not Australia, though it is what it reminded me of... Ya know.. I thought that too. I hope Lawhead takes a break from the current track he's on... I have had enough of the "Religious History" to last me a life time. I'd love to see something fresh, or another attempt at Fantasy. I loved the Song of Albion.

So, would you prefer Celtic or non-Celtic fantasy? The thing that excites me about the possibility of a Robin Hood novel is that I'll see Lawhead's take on a seperate culture. I loved the Pendragon Cycle and Patrick, and am loving the Albion trilogy, but something other would be rather nice.

After reading Dream Thief, The Empyrion Saga, The Dragon King Trilogy and the Song of Albion trilogy.... I think Lawhead's fantasy niche lies in the realm of Celtic Fantasy. However, I enjoy all of his fatasy works. The original Pendragon Cycle was good, but I didn't like Pendragon, Grail or Avalon near as much. Right now, any fantasy work (Even Robin Hood) would be a breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong... I love Lawhead's books... I'm just getting bored with the current genre.

You know what would be cool?
To write a story based on people with strong celtic influences only in the year 3065 or something like that. And then create some type of deeper understanding of them from a very different view point if that makes any sense.

Especially if one would portray Albion as another planet, or something. Very cool.

I've never lived 'book to book' with Mr. Lawhead yet- I've been busy catching up. At what stage does he usually announce his new books?

He usually doesn't say "I'll work on this series first... then move on this other theme..." I would just keep checking his website...

Through a friend of a friend (Jeff Johnson of ArkMusic who did the Albion soundtracks) I knew about Grail before he even finished Pendragon. That was fun.

Not bad. I read their "shameless plug" for their music on Lawhead's site at one time. I guess they are trying to put all of his books to music. That is so cool...

That's even cooler. You don't see ARCs on E-Bay do you? Do you mean cassettes or CDs from Ark? There are a few. Look for Jeff Johnson (since that's his personal label, produced in his basement).

They are the non-proofed books sent to certain people before the book is proofed, rewritten and published. I bought Patrick ARC from a lady on E-Bay.

That seems to me almost like cheating. I don't know why.
