SRL's son Ross has a collaborative hand in this volume, composing "The Ballad of Rhi Bran," which introduces each of the five parts of the book and then brings the epilogue to its conclusion.
Oh, and for those who have been hoping to see Alan a'Dale somewhere in this telling of the legend, good news!

Hey, Chappy is back! Welcome!
I think I'll have to wait for my birthday for Tuck... saving money and cutting back on book-buying...

Got mine yesterday.
Now...do I read it, or re-read Hood and Scarlet first?

Reread. Savor as you do. You'll be glad you did. How could you regret an opportunity to reread an SRL book? I got so much out of last month's rereading, things I'd forgotten and other things I hadn't even seen before.

I finished the book! Yes, I'm a fast reader. I really enjoyed it--it was a good blend of action, drama, and humor, a satisfying way to end the trilogy. My only nit-pick was a printer's error early on--pgs. 80 and 81. There's a paragraph at the bottom of p. 80 that is repeated almost verbatim on p. 81 (it begins "They had left the forest before dawn..."). Did anyone else notice this?

i just got to page 80/81 and found the error...I was initially freaking out and having a kind of deja vu. but glad to know someone else noticed it as well!

I recieved my copy on the fifth, but I'm in the middle of another book right now and I want to reread Hood and Scarlet first. The only problem is that a friend is borrowing Scarlet and seems to be taking her time with it...
Goo!
I'm glad to read that you guys enjoyed it; so I guess I'll enjoy it that much more after this extra wait!
