Scarlet is released! (Well, actually, we'll have to read the book to see if he really does get out of there, or if he hangs. But ...) Orders that have been placed at the publisher's online sales site, Nelson Ministry Services, are now shipping. Although other places like Amazon do not yet have it, they should be getting it in the next couple weeks and fulfilling their orders soon. You've been waiting for it. You've budgeted for it. Now is the time to order it. ******* The third volume, Tuck, is due in 2009. Lawhead closes a note at the end of Scarlet with these words: "It has been gratifying to hear from readers who are eager for the next book and who want to know when the next instalment will appear. Generally speaking, it does take far longer to write a book than to read one -- always a problem -- and at this point I must beg your further indulgence as the writing and publication of Tuck, the third volume in the trilogy, will be delayed on account of a serious illness. Thanks to restored health and strength, I am working away at the conclusion of the series, and thank you for your patience and understanding."

In addition to Nelson Ministry Services, Scarlet is also available for immediate shipping from Anybook in Florida. (They have it now, folks.) Good price. And good shipping service, in my experience. If you order from Amazon, Amazon UK, or Amazon Canada, please use the link provided in this thread. It is coded in a way that generates a small amount of support that helps make SRL's website possible. (Note: Amazon's listing now says Scarlet is 'in stock', so you may be getting your order sooner than they previously announced, Jenna.) And consider ordering from Eden Books & Gifts.com. Messenger of Eden is a member of our forum! She has a special offer available to help celebrate the grand opening of her online store. So, what are you waiting for? Order a copy of Scarlet today, and let's start discussing it! ***** [Y]ou may be getting your order sooner than they previously announced, Jenna. Well, maybe not. After having the book in stock for 16 days, Amazon is finally filling pre-orders now. ***** The UK paperback edition is now released. (Be aware that Amazon UK is currently charging more for it than for the hardcover edition, though.)

This is one of those times I love having a family that owns a bookstore. We just got our copies of Scarlet in yesterday, and I have mine and love it. I already can't wait for Tuck.

I pre-ordered Scarlet from Amazon about a week ago - as well as Brian Jacques' new book, which comes out in about a month! - but I requested free shipping (8-10 business days) so I'm not expecting it for awhile... does Amazon send a conformation e-mail when they SHIP the book, or just when you ORDER the book?

[brown]Cynan[/brown], Amazon will send an e-mail when they ship. With free shipping, they might wait till Eulalia comes out before shipping yours, to save on postage, but sometimes they do split orders when they see that an item would represent a significant delay for the rest of the order; ya just can't second-guess which one they'll do. Amazon has listed Scarlet as 'in stock' since August 23, yet they still haven't shipped to a member who placed a pre-order way back on April 8. What the delay is, is anybody's guess. At least five other members whose orders were placed with Nelson or Anybook are happily enjoying their copies already. And so are some whose family owns a bookstore. Enjoy, [green]Daae[/green]!

Hmm... when I ordered them, they asked if I wanted to wait up on shipping to save, or if I wanted them shipped as released, and I opted for the latter. But, I suppose since I also chose free shipping they can do whatever they want to save themselves some keesh. That stinks if it's what they've done because Eulalia! won't be released until October, I think.

Now we have to wait for 2009 to roll around... hmmm, maybe if we broke into all the calender making factories and changed all the 2008s to 2009s - that skip a whole year!! Haha!
