Well, I guess watching the BBC Robin Hood series is making waiting for Scarlet a little easier (speaking of Scarlet, I love the BBC take on Will). Although I'm going to have to make sure that my dad orders some copies for the bookstore. ;D

I hope our friend is doing better. The word from Jeff Johnson is: "I'm happy to pass on that Steve is doing quite well. He and Alice have returned to their home in Oxford and are busy re-settling into their home there." "The Lawheads have now moved back to their home in Oxford where Steve's health is well on the mend. We all appreciate the many, many prayers that have been offered on Steve's and our behalf!" Let's remember to thank God for answered prayer, as well as to continue to pray for SRL.

The second CD in the King Raven series by Jeff Johnson and Brian Dunning will be another EP and is scheduled to release in mid-August. King Raven - Volume 2 Jeff Johnson & Brian Dunning (AKD1522/ArkMusic) Available on CD & iTunes August 14, 2007 Johnson and Dunning continue to mine the rich prose of Stephen Lawhead's King Raven Trilogy with three new tracks inspired by Scarlet - Book 2 soon to be released by WestBow Publishing. The new songs, "Arrow," "The Forest" and "Raven Dance" are joined by a Bonus Track, the classic Irish traditional melody, "Down By The Glenside." Jeff and Brian are joined by Slovakian cellist, Jozef Lupták and Gwen Franz on viola. Tim Ellis (guitars) and Phil Baker (bass) also contribute to this new soundtrack full of the same kinds of dramatic twists and surprises that are featured in the upcoming novel. With Scarlet coming out this fall - September right? -, it will give me something to read while I'm in Tennessee, along with the new Brian Jacques book. It's going to be a good season for books!

From his gaol cell, outlaw Will Scatlocke waits to be hanged. Before he swings, Will -- known to his friends as Scarlet -- dictates his story to Odo, a duplicitous monk who has been given the job of recording his confession. So this one is written in the first-person? That'll be cool. ;D

Sounds interesting! I can hardly wait! Will Scarlet was always my favorite besides Robin in the old stories!

I hope that "Scarlet" is better than "Hood" because it sucked BIG TIME!! O Stephen, Stephen, Stephen...give me the world, then take it from me.

What? You thought Hood sucked big time? Surely you're only kidding. Hood was great. Please, please, please tell me you're only joking.
