Ok...basically this thread is a place for you to discuss recently viewed movies and rate them and/or recommend them. I'll start...
Hitch A very sweet romantic comedy. Will Smith is as hot as ever, full of humor, charm, and attitude. A typical romance plot...the overdone boy meets girl, loses girl, gets girl back plot...but I loved it. Great movie to see on a date or with your family. I give it a 4/5 rating.

The Life Aquaitc With Steve Zissou
If you don't like Wes Anderson movies (Rushmore, Royal Tennenbaums, etc), don't bother watching this one. If you do like Wes Anderson movies, take a chance on it. My experience is that people either love it or hate it. I laughed out loud through most of it. Especially the part where
ESTEBAN. WAS. EATEN. EATEN!!!!!!!!
It's filled with quirky humor and strange but memorable characters--all things that Anderson is known for. But, it's definitely not a family movie, and unless your partner is really likes crazy, dry humor type things, don't even think about it as a date movie.
Sadly, it's already out of theaters here (although, since it came out Christmas, I guess that's understandable), so I hope it will be out on dvd soon.

I just saw The Wedding Date this last weekend. It was pretty cute and had some really funny scenes. One big downside to the film is that it is really short. I think it might have been about 90 minutes or so.

I watched the Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again last night. I thought that a great deal of it was funny but like any comedian, there were some jokes that didn't crack me up.
On the whole I've always really enjoyed their jokes though.

The Odyssey: a made-for-TV movie we are watching in English class. It's so bad that it's hilarious.

Oh, I think we watched that when I was in high school (hmm...now that I think about it, it's been at least 6 years since I saw it). Yes, it is bad--but much like Clash of the Titans bad in such a good way.
If you want to see a really bad movie adaptation, rent the Christopher Lambert Beowulf sometime--but be forwarned, it's sci-fi Beowulf.
Yes, you read that right, sci-fi.
