I will make the place of My feet glorious.

Thus says the LORD, "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool."

Will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory," says the LORD of hosts. "The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former," says the LORD of hosts.

I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God."

November 20 -- Morning

When I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. -- I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. -- Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I will praise, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? -- The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? One God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Hear, O Israel! The LORD our God, the LORD is one! -- A mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; they did not remember the multitude of Your mercies. Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.

He is ... Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. "I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

It will be that when he cries to Me, I will hear, for I am gracious. -- I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God. -- I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD, "though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool." -- Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. -- "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

November 21 -- Evening

The Son of His love.

Suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." -- Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! -- The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father.

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love.

The glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. -- Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!

November 22 -- Morning

Praying in the Holy Spirit.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. -- We ... have access by one Spirit to the Father.

O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.

The Spirit ... helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. -- This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. -- When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication.

There is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease.

A bruised reed He will not break. -- He restores my soul.

Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. -- No chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word. -- After all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this.

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.

Whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil.

Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. -- He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. -- His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

Your life is hidden with Christ in God. -- He who touches you touches the apple of His eye. -- Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. -- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.

Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid." -- Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have. -- I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

My kingdom is not of this world.

This Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. -- Hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.

Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. -- He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. -- He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.

Both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, "I will declare Your name to My brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You." -- In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love. -- You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. -- Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!

Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. -- My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. -- Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

What are you doing here, Elijah?

He knows the way that I take. -- O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours. -- The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe. -- Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand. -- A righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.

Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. -- The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. -- As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him.

Having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

You cannot serve God and mammon. -- When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. -- Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

O LORD our God, masters besides You Have had dominion over us; but by You only we make mention of Your name. -- I will run the course of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart.

Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. -- Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, and heard his supplication.

The LORD delights in you.

Thus says the LORD, who created you, ... "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine." -- Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. -- My delight was with the sons of men. -- The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. -- "They shall be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "on the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him."

You, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.

The sorrow of the world produces death.

When Ahithophel saw that his advice was not followed, he saddled a donkey, and arose and went home to his house, to his city. Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died. -- Who can bear a broken spirit?

Is there no balm in Gilead, is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of my people? -- The LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, ... to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. -- Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
