March 30 -- Evening How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. -- But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me." Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Even they may forget, yet I will not forget you. You will not be forgotten by Me! I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. -- A woman ... cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!" But He answered her not a word. The proof of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes. (Psalm 13:1. James 1:17 -- Isaiah 49:14-15. Isaiah 44:21-22. John 11:5-6 -- Matthew 15:22-23. 1 Peter 1:7.)

March 31 -- Morning My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. -- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? -- All things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come; all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. -- As having nothing, and yet possessing all things. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. -- The LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. -- The living God ... gives us richly all things to enjoy. -- God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. (Philippians 4:19. Matthew 6:33 -- Romans 8:32 -- 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 -- 2 Corinthians 6:10. Psalm 23:1 -- Psalm 84:11 -- 1 Timothy 6:17 -- 2 Corinthians 9:8.)

March 31 -- Evening What communion has light with darkness? Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. -- You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Darkness has blinded his eyes. -- Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. The dark places of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty. -- Love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. (2 Corinthians 6:14. John 3:19 -- 1 Thessalonians 5:5. 1 John 2:11 -- Psalm 119:105. Psalm 74:20 -- 1 John 4:7-8. Proverbs 4:19,18. John 12:46. Ephesians 5:8.)

April 1 -- Morning The fruit of the Spirit is ... joy. Joy in the Holy Spirit. -- Inexpressible and full of glory. Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing. -- Exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation. -- We ... glory in tribulations. Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, ... for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame. -- These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. -- as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! -- The joy of the LORD is your strength. In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. -- For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. (Galatians 5:22. Romans 14:17 -- 1 Peter 1:8. 2 Corinthians 6:10 -- 2 Corinthians 7:4 -- Romans 5:3. Hebrews 12:2 -- John 15:11 -- 2 Corinthians 1:5. Philippians 4:4 -- Nehemiah 8:10 Psalm 16:11 -- Revelation 7:17.)

April 1 -- Evening Jehovah-shalom [The LORD is peace]. Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. Behold, one greater than Solomon is here. -- Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder; and his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -- My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places, though hail comes down on the forest, and the city is brought low in humiliation. He is our peace. -- This man shall be peace, when the Assyrian comes into our land. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. (Judges 6:24. 1 Chronicles 22:9. Matthew 12:42 -- Isaiah 9:6 -- Isaiah 32:18-19. Ephesians 2:14 -- Micah 5:5. Revelation 17:14. John 14:27.)

April 2 -- Morning If you return to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoroth from among you, and prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. -- Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty. -- You cannot serve God and mammon. You shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. -- Serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. -- Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. -- Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. (1 Samuel 7:3. 1 John 5:21 -- 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 -- Matthew 6:24. Exodus 34:14 -- 1 Chronicles 28:9. Psalm 51:6 -- 1 Samuel 16:7 -- 1 John 3:21.)

April 2 -- Evening When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. -- The Spirit explicitly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith. Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. Of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. -- Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. -- Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Luke 18:8. John 1:11 -- 1 Timothy 4:1. 2 Timothy 4:2-4. Mark 13:32-33 -- Luke 12:37 -- Titus 2:13.)

April 3 -- Morning Beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness. My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. God has closed them all up in disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! (2 Peter 3:8-9. Isaiah 55:8-11. Romans 11:32-33.)

April 3 -- Evening You were like a firebrand plucked from the burning. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has seized the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? -- We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us. -- The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. -- Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Be ready in season and out of season. -- Others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire. Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. -- Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (Amos 4:11. Isaiah 33:14 -- 2 Corinthians 1:9-10 -- Romans 6:23. Hebrews 10:31 -- 2 Corinthians 5:11. 2 Timothy 4:2 -- Jude 1:23. Zechariah 4:6 -- 1 Timothy 2:4.)

April 4 -- Morning Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last. You have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, ... but you have come to Mount Zion, ... to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus, the Mediator of the new covenant. -- Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. -- We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts, "I am the first and I am the last; besides Me there is no God." -- The Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Are You not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? -- Who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? (Revelation 1:17. Hebrews 12:18,22-24 -- Hebrews 12:2 -- Hebrews 4:15-16. Isaiah 44:6 -- Isaiah 9:6. Habakkuk 1:12 -- 2 Samuel 22:32.)

April 4 -- Evening Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then You knew my path. -- He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. -- Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. -- You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat. Who is a rock, except our God? -- They shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. -- Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope. -- This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters within the veil. (Psalm 61:2. Philippians 4:6-7. Psalm 142:3 -- Job 23:10 -- Psalm 90:1 -- Isaiah 25:4. Psalm 18:31 -- John 10:28 -- Psalm 119:116 -- Hebrews 6:19.)

April 5 -- Morning I will not let You go unless You bless me. Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me. O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you just as you desire. -- According to your faith let it be to you. -- Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. They drew near to the village where they were going, and He appeared as though He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, "Abide with us!" ... He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?" -- "I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight." ... "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." (Genesis 32:26. Isaiah 27:5. Matthew 15:28 -- Matthew 9:29 -- James 1:6-7. Luke 24:28-29,31-32 -- Exodus 33:13-14.)

April 5 -- Evening Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." -- Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, am the first, and with the last; I am He. Sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ. The God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. -- He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. -- Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? -- The LORD will perfect that which concerns me. It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Hebrews 12:2. Revelation 1:8 -- Isaiah 41:4. Jude 1:1. 1 Thessalonians 5:23:24 -- Philippians 1:6 -- Galatians 3:3 -- Psalm 138:8. Philippians 2:13.)

April 6 -- Morning He always lives to make intercession. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, ... who also makes intercession for us. -- Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. If anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. -- There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Seeing ... that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. -- Through Him we ... have access by one Spirit to the Father. (Hebrews 7:25. Romans 8:34 -- Hebrews 9:24. 1 John 2:1 -- 1 Timothy 2:5. Hebrews 4:14-16 -- Ephesians 2:18.)

April 6 -- Evening Those who know Your name will put their trust in You. This is His name by which He will be called, The LORD our righteousness. -- I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor. -- I know, O LORD, the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. The mighty God, the everlasting Father. -- I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day. The Prince of Peace. -- He Himself is our peace. -- Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe. -- Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help. -- Like birds flying about, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it. (Psalm 9:10. Jeremiah 23:6 -- Psalm 71:16. Isaiah 9:6 -- Jeremiah 10:23. Isaiah 9:6 -- 2 Timothy 1:12. Isaiah 9:6 -- Ephesians 2:14 -- Romans 5:1. Proverbs 18:10 -- Isaiah 31:1 -- Isaiah 31:5.)
