I was out running some errands today, and noticed that they jacked up the gas prices once again. $2.75 a gallon for gas. I just can't believe it. I have heard rumors about it being around $3.00 a gallon by the end of the year. It looks like that may come true. I am just curious what other people are paying for gas in the different regions of the country.

It changes so much it's hard to keep track. But I think it's in the $2.70's up here, maybe more by the time you read this.

It's $2.59 here in Lexington, and it was $2.39 in B'ham when I left.
A friend of mine on the west coast said it was $2.99 yesterday.
I think we're seeing the end of cheap fuel costs.

here in NM it's like $2.59. . .I think that's what I was seeing yesterday, which sucks because I filled up about two weeks ago and it was only $2.39 . . . $.20 in two weeks, that's ridiculous. . .I want to see a $1 in front again! Why do we have to pay so much for gasoline?

Gas prices are based on oil prices. And the oil pricing going on in the middle east right now is nothing short of ridiculous. It's all a bunch 'garbage' when they raise the price for this reason or that reason. They just make up reasons to raise the prices. Greed runs the world...arrrrrrgggggghhhh!!!!!!!!! BTW, this is in no way a conspiracy theory. Any resemblance to a conspiracy theory is purely theoretical.

Well, we might as well get used to it. We depend to much on petroleum, and it's not like they're making any more of it. If you think this is bad, just wait till they realize that we're running out of it.
That's when prices are going to go through the roof.

You mean that our President and his family have ties to the oil industry? and he might be getting kickbacks? and since he can't be re-elected, he doesn't care? Nope... don't see any connection at all. *whistles innocently*

If two people agree on a conspiracy theory, does that make it truth?

If two people agree on a conspiracy theory, does that make it truth? I wish that were true... I'd be full of a lot more 'truth' than I am right now... I have all kinds of conspiracy theories about my workplace.

Gas prices hit $2.54 here yesterday. Not as bad as some places but I expect it will continue to rise for a while.
I really wish more pressure would be made to use different sources of energy. The hybrid vehicles for example would help so much more. Solar power is another option but the higher ups don't want to push for them.
