Hi,
I just stumbled onto this forum and was hoping for some help. I just finished reading City of Dreams and was wondering about the release date for Rogue Nation and World Without End?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill,
I noticed at Amazon.com, you can pre-order Rogue Nation; it says that it hasn't been released yet, but they will ship it out to you when it comes out.
On the same page, however, it says that the release date was Oct.1, 2004....so i'm not sure, if it got pushed back or what.
[searches the internet]
Just visited NavPress' site, the publisher (apparently) of the Hero series, bit I can't find any mention of Mr. Lawhead or his books on their website.
[/searches internet]
So, all that to say that I am not sure and now a little confused

I seem to remember (on the old board,) it being mentioned that the !Hero novel-series had been canned. Can't confirm it until the "non-spam posts" are up, but I'm certain that's what L. said.

Right, I believe we got that sad news from SRL himself. Mr Lawhead, if you're reading this... would you consider self-publishing the other two in small quantity for those of us who really want the rest of the story? You could post them for private sale on your site. I did my book that way, and for 500 copies paid about $4 per book, then turned around to sell them for $9. I only have about 85 copies left... but with your name I bet you'd sell out fast.

Thanks for the responses!
That is too bad though, I was looking forward to reading the rest of the story. If SRL did make a limited run of them I would definitely buy them.
Any chance of this happening Mr. Lawhead, if you are reading this?
Thanks, Bill Rogers
BTW I have been a big SRL fan for many years, clear back to the Halls of the Dragon King and Dream Thief. The Fierra/Dome books are my favorites and I still pull them out every few years and read them again.

In regards to the Hero series, count me in as one who would buy the other books if they were made available...I'd gladly pay a premium price for them if nned be.

I don't know if I'd read Hero or not.... Probably, but I'm getting burned out on the Historical Fiction books... I want something fresh.

!Hero isn't historical fiction. It is, essentially, an alternate universe novel.
It places the birth of Christ in "modern-day" Bethlehem... Pennsylvania.

Perhaps a series built off of the ending of Endless Knot.

Perhaps a series built off of the ending of Endless Knot. Well, yes... I almost expect Avalon to tie Pendragon and Albion together. I'd love to see another sweeping epic like that! !Hero is less like Avalon in that it takes place in a world where Jesus never existed until the modern day. America is the Imperial Rome type country ruled by paganism and little toleration for monotheism... uh... but different from the America that pretty much meets that description in our world. ;D The main character is a "police" officer investigating a group of terrorists. I hate to say too much, as it's really a good story and deserves to be read fresh.

I'll pick it up when I get a chance. Thanks. You may not get a chance. Since the series was cancelled, I'm assuming no new copies are being printed.

I hope you get one! I probably never will... even if I get fifty bucks there will be no used copies being sold.

They can still direct order it from the publisher and it's only $9.99.... I went ahead and ordered it, so I should get it in 7 - 10 business days.
