...no one i know has even read SRL...they are all so deprived. I know how you feel. I'm trying to educate various friends and family of mine...they all use the same pathetic excuse, "I'm busy..." Wow, Robin Hood by Stephen Lawhead! I could die of over-excitement! But what to do till the book comes out? I'll have to think of something to entertain myself...maybe a go fish tournament where you can only ask for cards in Korean....

Celtic Robin Hood? I don't know, that doesn't sound like Lawhead, with his usual good grasp on history, unless he knows something we don't about the history of Robin Hood (which wouldn't be the first time).
It's worth noting, of course, that there is no complete concensus about just which documented historical figure was nicknamed "Robin Hood".

It's worth noting, of course, that there is no complete concensus about just which documented historical figure was nicknamed "Robin Hood". Because of that, Robin Hood, though known by probably everyone on earth, would probably be one the best stories to run with if you were to present a new version of it to the public. Speaking for myself, I'm definitely open to consider new ideas about the merry man. ;D Robin Hood has been of my favorite stories since I was a kid. Not only that, but Lawhead's writing has been the main reason I've read any of his books; it's a step above a lot of the comtemporary authors I've read. I am so PSYCHED!!!!

Coherence has never been one of my great qualities... haha, nor mine. As you may have gathered from my first post in this thread.

Maybe the 'Celtic' element will come from characters other than Robin? After all Murdo and family are Norsemen rather than a Celts! Friar Tuck as one of the Cele De perhaps?

Well, Robin Hood will probably first meet up with his old, blind family friend 'blinkin and Achoo. From there I'm sure Lawhead will lead us in a series of hilarious misadventures involving a very large, blonde man who can't swim named Little John and maiden princess with a chastity belt...
