I´m amazed at the intensity of the work. The way I entered in this story was absurd. In my opinion, it´s Lawhead´s strongest work. Can someone not feel like a loser when the book ends? I wanted to enter the story, kill morgian and save Taliesin.. I can´t believe he is dead. well, i could not avoid writing this.. Taliesin is awesome, lawhead is awesome, God is awesome to give me such gifts! see ya all.. hugs from Brazil!

It is a really great book. Keep reading and share your thoughts on the rest of them.
I know I wanted to do things as a result of what took place in the book but that is the mark of a great piece of writing. If it makes you think and desire to act on what you've read.

the best? hmm i dont think I coul choose, I love different parts in each book, if I had to choose one t would be the one that is only sometimes considered part of the pendragon cycle: Avalon. But there is no contest for me there, Avalon is My absolute favourite book by SRL and anyother author

Probably Merlin just shading it from Arthur, though I did think Grail was top notch to.

Merlin is the best, closely followed by Pendragon. (Merlin's narration rocks my world--he's the best, most fully realized SRL character.)

true...merlin is amazing i´m still impressed on how could SL write so well about a blind man, without ever being one..

Taliesin is still my favorite. The synchronized stories of two people whose paths will eventually cross - the fall of Atlantis - the crude yet awe inspiring ways of ancient Britain - the flirtation with the otherworld - the ancestry of two of the most intriguing men - and Charis' character is simply captivating....it is the primer which sets the mood for all the following books which are absolutely great as well. As I have mention several times, I love the Pendragon Cycle even more than SOA.

I really like Merlin as the best, hands down. Following would be Avalon, Arthur, and Taliesin.

Arthur, Merlin, Taliesin, Pendragon, Grail would be my order, with Avallon standing on its own as a fine addition and conclusion to the Cycle.

Arthur > Avalon > Pendragon and Grail > Taliesin > Merlin would be my order of preferance. Not the biggest fan of the supernatural.

Taliesin is the book that made me fall in love with SRL's work and I thought Merlin was absolutely brillant. SRL made him more real and plausible than anything else I have read concerning him.
