Hi, I'm Maggie and I'm addicted to Stephen Lawhead's books. Now you say "Hi Maggie"...never mind. Joking aside, my name is Maggie, and I just turned 17 today. I live in semi-rural Pennsylvania, although I was born on my granparents farm, so I spent a good portion of my younger life playing in the woods. Aside from literature my interests/passions are music (I sing soprano), horses, archaeology, and languages. (I know some French, Latin, and plan to try to teach myself Scottish Gaelic). I guess my first Lawhead book was Taliesin, although I only got half way through it. The first book I read the whole way through was In the Hall of the Dragon King. And since my mom really likes Lawhead's books too, we have almost all of them at my house. And I'm going to shut up now. Toodles! Cia mar a tha thu, Maggie! Happy Birthday!! I have all of the same interests, except the only language that interests me is Gaelic. I've only made it through Unit 1, but I'm trying. Welcome aboard!

Oh yes, we'd all like to learn Gaelic...and Old Irish, and Welsh, and Medieval Welsh, and Brythonic, Manx, Cornish, and, just for fun, maybe a little medieval High German (so we can read Wolfram von Eschenbach's Partzifal in the original).
And by "we" I mean "me."

"Hi Maggie...." And you like the Phantom of the Opera--don't leave that out. Well, I thought it'd be fairly obvious that I like Phantom of the Opera. And French, Latin, and Gaelic aren't the only languages I'm interested in. I've done some studying on ancient Egyptian forms of writing, and I want to study cuneiform. I also think Japenese is interesting. I know, I'm crazy.

I love those languages... the only ones that I'm currently studying are Latin, Spanish, and Old English, but that is subject to change!
I love Phantom of the Opera! Both book (which I first read yesterday) and opera/movie.
Happy birthday and welcome, Maggie!

'Twas obvious indeed. Big fan of the music, myself, and the book; the movie hasn't made it to my carpetless three-screen cinema yet. Goodness, everyone has such an extensive linguistic knowledge. Anyone studying English? [kidding] I'm studying New Testament Greek, myself.

I cheated and bought an Amplified Bible which translated everything into English, Hebrew and Greek. ;D

Dake's isn't bad either for that--and, of course, no one should be without the latest edition of Strong's Concodrance when it comes to Bible reading.

I figure its a good idea to introduce myself *waves grandly* I'm Dotty, yes...that IS my real name, and I'm a 21 year old female college student living in Arkansas. I study computer science at my university, and I'm also fortunate enough to work as a student worker in the computer science department here. That basically means that I sit in front of a computer all day and have fun Yep, I'm a nerd *grin* Reading is one of my great passions. I'll read just about anything, and I look forward to Lawhead's work. Just thought I'd introduce myself, being the newbie and all, to all of you. Well wishes and happy posting
