I'm 2-2 now going into week 5. And I don't have a second running back. I've got to make a trade today or hope 'the Bus' gets back up and running.

I lost in both my leagues. Culpepper did in my Yahoo team and New England's Defense did in the other. I'd trade away Culpepper, but I doubt there'd be any takers. I'm switching to Denver's Defense now.

I am 2-2 also. I heard Bettis is activated for this week, so we'll have to see if he plays. He should be a TD machine, even if he's not getting a ton of yards. I wouldn't trade Culpepper. He can't possibly get any worse and Minnesota still has a ton of divisional games, and the NFC North stinks. If you trade Culpepper now, I can't imagine you would get much for him, so you're probably better off to hang on to him. Perhaps if he has a couple good games in a row, consider trading him while his stock is up. The thing with the NFL is that there are a ton of players that perform well for half the season - sometimes the first half, sometimes the second half. It's something fantasy magazines are always talking about - "so-and-so was the top ranked WR during the second half of the season" or "such-and-such RB, after a great start, only scored 1 TD in his last 10 games including the playoffs." So as a general rule, never trade a player while his stock is down unless you're able to con someone into overpaying for him, which may be possible with a big name player such as Culpepper. FFL is all I have now - the Packers are all but dead...

Whoa, did you see those Packers!! They're not dead yet, my friend!
My FF teams are doing so-so, though. This week our nfl.com team is doing bad, since Vick didn't play. But LaDanian Tomlinson has yet to play tonight. So it might turn out ok. Our opponent is doing poorly as well. My Yahoo team is also struggling. I picked up Drew Brees since Culpepper had the week off. He plays tonight also. If he does well, I might pull off a win.
Hope your teams are doing well!

I should get a victory this week even though I'm not getting a lot of points. The only thing that could stop me is a 4 TD night by Antonio Gates. My opponent is not doing well this week either.
Go Steelers!!!

Both my teams did poor this week - but I won both! Go figure. I'm now 3-2 in both leagues.

Way to go Steelers!!
I'm 3-2 as well. This fantasy football thing totally changes the way I watch games now. I don't think I will do it again. It's fun, but it's just too much of a mindwarp trying to watch the games and enjoy them. I don't see how you can be in more than one league, DanTheMan.

It's not too bad having two teams (one I share with my wife.) One problem is that this last week I had a conflict of interest. Our nfl.com team had our opponent playing Drew Brees Monday night, so we had to root against him. However, on my Yahoo team I picked up Brees to play on Culpepper week off. So do I root for him or not? The answer is that I root for him to throw TDs to LaDanian Tomlinson, who's on my nfl.com team.
Did I mention I now have a Fantasy NBA team?

Someday I will get into other Fantasy sports. The NFL is just so fun and unpredictable compared to basketball or baseball...
I'm 2-3...and I'm not happy about it. I lost by 2 points. Essentially, I lost by a Heath Miller TD catch...yeah, I didn't know who he was either but the other guy started him and he beat me in the second half of Monday Night's game. LT had won my game for me until that Miller TD.
Cree, I know it plays games with your mind. The key is that it has to come second to your REAL football interests. For example, one more John Carney field goal against the Packers last week and I would have won my fantasy game. But I'm OK with that, because the Packers come first. Where fantasy makes football more fun, is like this week, when Houston plays Seattle on Sunday night. If it weren't for fantasy football, that game would be a yawner. But I have at least 2 players in that game and my opponent may as well, so it will be much more interesting.
It takes some time to work out that real vs. fantasy loyalty, but after a couple of seasons you are able to separate the two and it makes football much more enjoyable. Unless your playing for money, fantasy football should take a back seat to everything.
Hmm...do as I say, not as I do! LOL!!

Well, my team was ticked off after last week's loss apparently. I dropped 148 points on my opponent this week. Yeah. That was pretty sweet.
I guess hurricane Wilma is causing the NFL to play the Chiefs/Dolphins game on Friday night. If your rosters are due in before the first game of the week, you better get those in right away!

I've got tons of WRs and I don't want to start any of them this week:
Andre Johnson - injured/bust Isaac Bruce - injured Joey Galloway - Griese out for year/new QB Antwan Randle El - Roethlisberger out/Charlie Batch playing...yikes! Bobby Engram - first game back from injury TJ Houshmanzadah - playing Baltimore Brandon Stokley - playing New England/bust Lavernous Coles - Jets stink/Testaverde banged up
I've already changed my lineup about a dozen times...I think I've settled on Stokley and Engram...ugh! Neither are in the top 50 in fantasy scoring in our league...Galloway has been a top 5 guy up until now, but I don't trust Chris Simms until I see him put some decent games together.
What a mess....

out of that list of receivers, i would have picked TJ. Baltimore is not scary on pass defense. my team is 4-4. i should be 5-3 but my system made a scoring mistake. when they correted it I lost the game instead of winning it. this week I'm going against one of the best teams in my league and i still don't have any RB's. I'm just praying Bettis punches in a couple of TDs.

Well Cowher didn't tell the press until the last minute so I started the Bus and he didn't run at all! Meanwhile, I could have started a scrub who just so happened to get 2 TDs this week..............
The unusual and absolutely cool thing is... that I still won my game. In fact it's the most points I have scored yet, 98. Thanks to Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison going nuts on MNF. I am now 5-4, but I'm still 6th out of 7 in my division because I haven't scored alot of points overall.

Still floundering at .500, trying to make the playoffs. This is crazy. There is no excuse for my team to performing this poorly. Actually, when you consider my first 5 picks included Trent Green, Andre Johnson, and Tony Gonzalez...yeah, maybe I do have an excuse. LOL!
Our 'regular' season only has 2 weeks left. Time to churn butter...(no, I don't know what that means)

time to churn butter - LOL
Well, I'm 5-7 with one game left and noway to make the playoffs. It's been an interesting season to say the least. I've learned a lot about fantasy football, but I have also learned that it changes the way I watch football. And I don't like the changes... So I probably won't play again (at least not with 14 teams in the league!)
