He stopped singing. A soft radiance shone through the rolling fog, and he percieved the presence of an Otherworld being approaching: an Ancient One.
The being came to stand near him but not near enough to see clearly--it was just a glowing blur through the fog. Taliesin waited, not presuming to address the entity, but allowing it to speak first if it would. - (Taliesin)

Now he was standing very close to the glowing presence in the center of the lab. So close that he could feel a tingling sensation on his hands and face, a tiny prickling of the flesh as if with extreme cold. He raised one hand toward the aura and saw it surrounded by the greenish cast. -- (Dream Thief)

The westering sun tinted the sky with evening colors of dusty gold and pale violet, flaming the woodland greens and burnishing the boles of towering chestnut and hawthorn with a gleam like bronze. - (The Sword and the Flame)

"MacLagan also introduced me to a farmer living at Grove Farm nearby, Mr. E. M. Roberts, who affirmed the reputation of the Cairn as a Fairy Mound, insisting that his father had once hired a labourer by the name of Gilim, who, returning home one Saumain Eve, espied a Fairy Cavalcade issuing forth from the aforementioned hollow." - (The Paradise War)

The sword, its hilt of glittering golden stars with lordly jewels embedded--ruby, amethyst, topaz and emerald---began to rise slowly, tilting upwards as a sword lifted in triumph. Then the tip dipped and slid and began falling through the black void of heaven, spinning as it fell, and flashing fire into the darkness.
The Shining One arrowed to earth in an arc of white fire. The brilliance of that plunge dazzled Quentin, but he looked on without flinching. The sword came to rest just above the peaks at the further end of the valley where the Falls of Shennydd Vellyn poured out of the mountainide. It hoverd there for an instant and then slid slowly down, as a sword sliding home to its scabbard. --(Warlords of Nin)

"There is healing in the water," Goewyn whispered, clasping her hands fervently beneath her chin. Tears shone in her eyes. With her words still hanging in the air, I rushed forward to join Llew. "Tegid!" Cynan shouted, and lunged to prevent me. I ran two steps, tripped on a stone and fell sprawling. The lake water splashed over me. My head went under and I felt a burning sensation in my eyes. I came up gasping, dashing water with both hands. Bright light flashed through my fingers; I removed my hands and blinked my eyes. - (The Silver Hand)

The food had long since spoiled, but the water in the sealed jar was good; so he drank sparingly from it and settled down to discover all he could of Empyrion's lost past. - (The Siege of Dome)

So, Good King Meldryn was unhappy because he had fallen out with some of his friends. Because of this, somehow, he had sent Tegid to fetch me a season or two early. - (Paradise War)

We slept under the stars that night -- and for a good many nights thereafter. We were a long time building enough shelter for our growing clan. And we would grow. As Calbha had warned, there were homeless tribes wandering the hills. Albion was in ferment; men were moving on the land, seeking safety and solace. The clans of southern Caledon and Llogres were as sheep driven before the ravening Hound. I little doubted they would find their way to Dinas Dwr, the safe haven of the north.
All that long Moffar, Season of Sun, they came - (The Silver Hand)

"It was many years ago now." The bright blue eyes held a far-away look as memory came flooding back across the years. "I was a little girl. My father was a professor; very stern, very upright he was. There was just me and my mother. I used to play outside every day with the children. We lived way up in the mountains, maybe seventy-five miles from the city, in a tiny village called Rangpo. "It was beautiful there. The seminary was an old monastery, I think. It had the most beautiful courtyards and gardens. My father taught there and we had a little house nearby. I can still see the little purple wildflowers that grew along the road. Passion flowers we called them; I don't know what they were. And safflowers -- red and yellow, all over the hillside. It was lovely. "There was an ancient palace nearby. We used to go sometimes to look at it. But only from a distance. You couldn't go there; it was too dangerous. The bridge was very old and decrepit. I used to wonder what kind of treasures lay inside it. There was certain to be gold and rubies -- all the children said so. But they said the palace was guarded by the demons of the Dream Thief, and they watched over the treasure and whoever dared to touch it would be stricken down dead." - (Dream Thief)

They walked down the steps and into the garden amidst the fragrant offerings of roses of all kinds. The spring flowers were gone, but the blooms of summer were just opening and everywhere one looked the eye was filled with color. - Sword and Flame

As the Cylchedd progressed, we all -- each man and woman among us -- became zealous bearers of the glad tidings. The news was everywhere greeted with such happiness and gratitude that the entire entourage strove with one another to be allowed to ride with the message just to share in the joy the tidings brought. -- ( The Endless Knot )

"...she feared that she would not be allowed to see her home again. This, as the miles stretched on and on, had become an obsession for her, and she hoped with each passing moment that she would not come too late." - Taliesin
