If anyone has time and would like to critique one or two chapters from my King Arthur novel, I would greatly appreciate it.
The first chapter (newly revised) is available at my blog.
The second chapter is available only if you sign up for my "book launch e-mail list", but as my goal here is critiques and not my e-mail list, if you don't want to sign up, but still would like to read it and/or critique it, e-mail me at robert @ epictales.org, and I'll send you the link.
I just entered the ACFW's Genesis contest with these chapters, and if I had gotten them ready sooner, it would have been better to have you all critique *before* the contest. Either way, my goal is to be published one day, and so critiques are *always* helpful---and I greatly respect everyone's opinion here!

And I am thick-skinned, so tell me the worst! If my novel has cancer, I want to know it so I can perform whatever surgery is necessary to keep it alive.

- Did any part not ring true?
- Was anything unbelievable?
- Was any phrasing awkward or were there any grammar/spelling problems?
- Was anything confusing?
- Did you ever have to back up and re-read something to understand it?
- Were any parts boring or unnecessary?
- Did anything make you think about the words on the page rather than the story?
- Did the people's actions fit their character?
- Was anything missing?
- Was there enough suspense to keep you reading?
