My Imagination was running on high-speed yesterday, so I typed out some short story stuff. How about this?
The brown and green grass rippled in the stiff breeze, and the mountainous rocks shone gray and bright as the two armies met. The sinking sun, a dull yet glowing orange, cast its fading warm rays into the blue evening, illuminating the battle scene. The Lady of the Green Kirtle sat upon her brilliant white unicorn as she watched the skirmish from a nearby hill. Her trolls and centaurs mixed with the foul creatures spawned from the mage of hell; Rattletails and Kruggs, as well as enormous savage were-animals: wolves and bears, and hideous snakish worms. Dark clouds began to roll in, yet already it seemed that the hellish creatures were shrouded in a slimy dark mist. The shining gold and silver armor of the Elementals flitted around the forms, and the screams of the dying began to sound out with the cheers of the victors. The elves that formed the second line in Her Majesty the Lady’s army were now into the fray, swords ringing and light spears flashing like fire. Already, after just one short charge, the color and grace of the Elemental army surrounded and overwhelmed the dark and vile hell-spawn. One charge, and the valley wash awash with the brilliance of a tremendous victory.
The Lady patted her steeds slick neck, whispering softly.
“It is all over now, boy. No more shall our land be troubled.”
An Elven Acolyte came to stand beside her.
“Soon it will be finished, my lady.” He said quietly. The ringing of battle grew fainter as the enemy was vanquished, and now the sound of elven song dominated the dipping land.

The Lady looked on with a sensation in her soul, a wonderful feeling of hope and happiness. Unable to stop the tears from rolling down her aged yet mysteriously beautiful face, she let the feeling wash over her. Had peace come to this land? Was it really all over? She turned to her Acolyte and noticed with pleasure that tears also streamed down his cheeks. He glanced up at her, and they both began to laugh heartily.
They looked around at the cluster of Acolytes and guards, who were standing in awe of the spectacle. One by one, their faces broke into wide grins, then they began to cheer along with their Lady. Not a single eye was dry; all present wept with joy. With voices cracked from the tears, they took up the song with those on the field.

The Lady patted her unicorn again, and spoke a soft command into his ear. He reared up, his bridle and armor flapping and gleaming in the light of the sunset. The Lady’s forest green cloak flowed behind her as she led those on the hilltop down into the valley. Still cheering loudly, the group followed behind her in a beautiful rush, feet pounding on the dirt and grass as they sped towards their heroes. As the last of the Mage Spawn were vanquished, the victors threw their helmets and shields into the air, sobbing and gasping for breath. A ragged victory cry went up to mingle with the song of the Acolytes and their guards. The Lady of the Green Kirtle slid off her mount and approached her head general.
“How many lost?” She cried above the noise.
The head general, like all others present, was in tears.
“Not a single one of our army was killed or injured, My lady,” he wept, choking on his words. “All are present and accounted for.”
The Lady could not even speak, but turned away in mute fascination. THE END
Sorry if it's kind of weird, but I was feeling weird. The elvish comes from Tolkein, and my characters were from Mage Knights the game. Also, the Lady of the Green Kirtle is Lewis' character, right? well, she's good in this story, not bad.
I might post some more of the short stories I wrote yesterday later.
