First poems of 2006:
First Ladybug
Winter's gray is pierced by glossy innocence, red as a tiny drop of blood.
Gentleness of Spring is tucked beneath your wing, promising to grow and bud.
East Wind
Trees yield grudgingly, sighing, undulating like waves breaking on the shore.
And we are but toys buffetted about by velveted cat's paws, momentarily abandoned, only to be pounced upon unawares.

hmm ok well I guess I am game to share a poem or two and see what you guys think... I don't write very often and havnt written but about 10 poems and really have no idea how to write  but anyway I will start with this one... I wrote it for an online friend that has since more or less disappeared from my life.
friend along the road along this dusty track of life I travel, not knowing what tommorrow brings. I know of course I have to try and not stray from the narrow way. For along the wide and winding tracks is trouble places that will take me far from God. I do not care to go along those roads, for when I do the road is longer. But when I walk the path my Lord has made my load is lighter and the way more clear. The path I walk is not always easy, But my Jesus walks beside me here. He places friends along my path, someone like you and others too. He knows before I ask the things I need, and places those along the way, He does not always give me everything, lots are wants and greedy things, but everything I need is there . He knows the friends to help me the ones that will encourage, support and help me grow As I prayed not long ago, and sought some friends to walk with me, He knew my needs before I asked, and you my friend were sent

ok one more I wrote this one afternoon for another friend who liked a couple other poems I had written Dream A gentle mist hangs in the air, alluring and warm It calls to the enchanting waterfall that leaps forth Over the rocks and into the gentle river below As it winds its way like silk through the forest floor. The lush green grass rolls up over the small slope Till it rests at the foot of the brown grey trunks Reaching upwards to the green blue canopies Gently we walk together over crisp leaves, Listening to the wildlife, chatting and giggling Not caring about the world outside, or what they think Just for a while being together, uninterrupted

dinadan I like your poems they remind me of how I feel when I have down times in my life are you going to make a book one day? I'd love to. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I'll ever find a market for the kind of things I write. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. To me, poetry is worthwile if someone else enjoys it and gets something out of it; it's not about wealth or fame.

This was written for my dh for our wedding day, August 16, 2003 To My Beloved... There was a time, I thought I'd never find Someone to share my heart, soul, & mind. So I prayed for the lord to send Someone I could share the rest of my days. One day I found that the lord had answered my prayer in his own mysterious ways. You had come into my life as a friend and that bloomed to love. Inside I thanked the lord above. From that moment I knew you are the other half of my soul. Now we pledge the rest of our lives to be true, and together we are a whole. So now until the end you will be My husband, my lover, my friend. Copyright ©2006~ Jenna

In the shelter of your love
there is a lightness to my soul; a bright ray of sun on a cloudy day; a bubble of happiness in my heart and now words I can say to express my feelings in the right way; to come out right and be able to say I'll love you for all my days forever and ever on into eternity see that’s how love goes between you and me; a special place a place of hope a place of peace a shelter from the storms of life that's what you mean to me.

This one I just wrote, it's a little descriptive...let me know what you think...
One
There’s a place Only lovers may go A source of peace Where problems cease With only room for two
Eyes only for each other. Distractions don’t exist, The world fades to mist. Love comes twofold.
Whispered words Loving touches Heat rising Gentle joining Pleasured sighing Twinned relief to ensue Souls entwined. Lovers cuddle. Slow and subtle Reality fades in A gift given Hearts taken Their world shaken To the core
What a gift God had in mind For two souls to bind Into One.

My Sis wrote this one
Alone
I stand Alone Are you affraid to love To you my emotions I have shown You are my angel from above Memories invade my quiet dreams Crying and suffering are all I bleed love has tortured my soul so it seems Away from this nightmare you I need Alone in the corner I try to hide There you find me breathless but still alive My love has been my pride For you always will I strive Come hold me together once again I promise I will try I will forever love you, without you i surely will die.

Good ones, Din! You've inspired me to dig out the old folder. Here is some teenage ranting by yours truly.
Dream Man
Often when young women meet They talk of young men much And not the very least of them Is dream guy such and such Now, here I speak of one such man Though he may know it not In fact I've never met him Though he's very much in thought His face may not be handsome But in it peace will show His mouth will speak the love of God So everyone will know His shoulders aren't inportant They only must be broad Enough to let the burdens Be carried by our God His hands may be quite wide and strong But this I do not know Their strength is in not shirking work But doing well for friend or foe His legs may be a little weak Or yet a little long But to carry out God's chosen work They always will be strong A little touch of humor For a smile is never bad And there's a man to which a proud "I love you," can be said
starry-eyed idealism? What can I say...

When the moment's spur strikes And all dullness vanishes in the essence of an idea All that is needed is a place to be Something to do that one likes Or a chance to shout out, "Eureka!" In all, this evening, that isn't me. I'm bored.

wonderful poems.. I have a few old ones to share
I danced with lighting
I watched the clouds build high in the sky Moving carelessly, to and fro I sway, I sway As danced with the clouds
Mr. wind dances beside me Laughing mirthfully at my dance I leaped, I leap As I danced with the wind
Rain tears moisten the earth spinning gracefully I turned, I turned As I danced with the rain
Angels speed the dance Banging on the holy thunder drum I Ran, I ran As I danced with Thunder
Bright bolts of light Dazzle the symphony of the storm I sang, I sang As I dance with Lighting
