My guess is that they want us (a) discuss writing in general (those of us who write,) and, (b) to post threads on our own work and have other board-members comment on it; but I'm sure you've gotten that far.
So do we post links or do we put the work in the body of the post?

My guess is that they want us (a) discuss writing in general (those of us who write,) and, (b) to post threads on our own work and have other board-members comment on it; but I'm sure you've gotten that far. So do we post links or do we put the work in the body of the post? This sub-forum is intended for discussion of writing in general... whether you are writing a novel, short story, screen play or poem... It is a place to glean knowledge from other aspiring writers and published authors. I wouldn't post too much of your story for 2 reasons.... 1) You don't want anyone to steal your idea 2) The post can take a long time to read through. In the past, I have posted the Prologue and first 2 chapters completely for critique. I found one person I could trust who is going through the rest of the story and helping me critique. The most important thing is to write what is in your heart and critique it later.

That's exactly what gave me pause. Thanks.

That's exactly what gave me pause. Thanks. No problem. I'm glad I could help. I don't think anyone here would steal your work, but caution is always advised. If you want, you could post part of all of one chapter and see what happens. Good Luck!
