I just saw this at Barnes and Noble.... HERO: Rogue Nation Now this looks like book 2.... The cover is the same as City of Dreams. I spoke with the Publishing company, and apparently they are waiting to publish the book. There is not date set yet, but the hold up is not on the publisher's end. Just thought I'd clear that up.

It was Lawhead himself who said the publisher cancelled it on him.

It was Lawhead himself who said the publisher cancelled it on him. Well... someone's lying to us then... I talked to the publisher directly and they never canceled it. They are waiting on his re-writes and re-submission....

Hhmm.... No she didn't... Interesting.... Well, she told me that she and her husband were big Lawhead fans, so I invited them both to join our forum. If they stop by, maybe we can ask them?

I just read this at www.stephenlawhead.comStephen, I greatly enjoyed the first !HERO book, City of Dreams. What is going on with book two—Rogue Nation? I have attempted to purchase it several times and my orders are cancelled. Is it out? Or is it not out? After City of Dreams, there are many of us who have a great desire to read the next book. and... Q I know you don't answer things posted here so maybe someone on here can help me. I read !HERO: City of Dreams and I was just wondering does anyone know if he is going to finish writing the second and third books 'cause the first one ends in the middle of a really dramatic situation so I feel it is unfair that they aren't written yet. A To recap: In conjunction with Eddie DeGarmo's !HERO musical, my son Ross and I embarked on a series of three novels built around a premise: Jesus Christ is born in Bethlehem...Pennsylvania. A black man, he lives in Harlem, his 'disciples' are more-or-less a street gang. It's a great idea, which Eddie explores in his musical (coming soon to a performing arts center near you!), and my son and I were asked to capture the essence of that story in three novels. The first book was published. The second and third books were duly written, but the original publisher bailed out of the project. There are things I'm not supposed to say about all that, but I can tell you that an agent is working to find another publisher who would like to pick up the project and see it through to completion. I'm sorry for all those who have been disappointed by this publishing snafu. No one is more disappointed than Ross and me.

Hope still lives. For example, after Disney dropped the "Narnia" series of films, Warner Brothers picked it up. Another publisher could pick up HERO.
Maybe that publisher will be based in . . . .Pennsylvania. :-)
