Anyone else read any Ted Dekker books?
I've just begun reading "Showdown" which is, I'm told after-the-fact, a pseudo sequel to Dekker's popular "Circle" trilogy. He's a suspense writer in the vein of Peretti.
I like what I've read so far, though I am tempted to put Showdown up until I can read the Circle trilogy. Anyone out there who has read all four and has any insight?

I've read Black, Red, and White. But I like Thr3e the best. You must read that one!

I've seen them in the store, but have never read any of them. Where does one start?

Thr3e is a standalone so it's probably a decent place to pick up. Black, Red, and White comprise the Circle Trilogy. Showdown is a sequel of sorts to that (which seems to be readable on its own too) and there's another book coming out to finish that particular storyline, called "Sinner".
Thr3e was made into a movie, and I believe "House" is also being made into a movie.

Th3e and Blink are his best, if you ask me. I loved the Circle Trilogy and Showdown was alright, but I've really become tired of his recent books and have stopped reading them. He keeps linking back to the Circle Trilogy and is becoming very uncreative (if that's possible). The last book of his that I read was Saint, which was awesome up until the last third. That's when it became more like a crazy story my brother would tell me when he was eight. Yeah. His best stuff is the older stuff.

Ted Dekker is an awesome author.
I've read almost all of his books, and I would highly recommend the Circle trilogy. But really you can read them in any order. I'm slightly biased because the Circle was what I started with, so I would say that's the place to start. But, go ahead and read them in any order, because it really dosen't matter where you start.

i've read from tedd dekker, but i think i really messed the order up. i read saint first, then realized showdown was the one i was supposed to read before that. there were several references in saint to the book showdown. now, i'm reading in this thread the the circle trilogy really came first. i have that, so i'll read it and then showdown, by then i'll probably have to read saint over again. i have to admit though, that i'm not nearly as thrilled with tedd's books as srl's.

I'm very much excited about this movie in the big screen! The dark scenes are very creepy together with the cool music! All the actors and actresses are effective, especially Michael Madsen! I love this film. Guys, check out their official website, housethemovie.net for the list of theaters where it'll appear.

This movie looks amazing, and the trailer is downright scary. I've always wanted to see a Peretti movie, but unfortunately, because of the R rating, I'll probably sit this one out.
I figure if my kids shouldn't see it, maybe I shouldn't either. Maybe they'll come out with a milder cut in the future.
Anyway, I bet this movie draws a lot of people that wouldn't normally see a "Christian" movie with an amazing message.

The whole Circle/Paradise storyline is a bit confusing. Some books work as both prequels & sequels to the Circle Trilogy & Dekker has a new book called Green (Circle Book #0) which works as both a prequel & a sequel/finale.
Blink is good, but Dekker 'rewrote' it a few years ago. I own both versions & aside from the new one missing a few scenes, it hasn't changed much. You'll find it for sale under the name Blink of an Eye
