wow!!! I read the poet by michael connelly while I was away and all I can say is what a great writer.
Not for the faint of heart tho LOL the book I read was gripping...I am not a big book reader most books I will read to the second chapter maybe 3 or 4 if they are ok and put them down never to read them again.
so far Stephen lawhead has been the exception, then I stumble quite by accident upon michael connelly's book.
I actually picked it up because it sounded ok when I was with my friend in a second hand store for like 50 cents LOL.
decided to take it with me on holidays along with 3 SRL books and a couple others...got through two SRL and thought meh I will give this poet book a try and wow!!! it hooked me from the start.
this is amazons summary of the book since I am crap at writting about books LOL...
"Amazon.com
Jack McEvoy is a Denver crime reporter with the stickiest assignment of his career. His twin brother, homicide detective Sean McEvoy, was found dead in his car from a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head--an Edgar Allen Poe quote smeared on the windshield. Jack is going to write the story. The problem is that Jack doesn't believe that his brother killed himself, and the more information he uncovers, the more it looks like Sean's death was the work of a serial killer. Jack's research turns up similar cases in cities across the country, and within days, he's sucked into an intense FBI investigation of an Internet pedophile who may also be a cop killer nicknamed the Poet. It's only a matter of time before the Poet kills again, and as Jack and the FBI team struggle to stay ahead of him, the killer moves in, dangerously close."
anyway I will be looking out for more of his books
anyone else read any of his books?
