I have read several of his works and find them to be pretty good reads. The only caveat is that they are generally from a soldier's perspective so that there is the accompanying foul language. Otherwise they are very good. My personal favorite thus far is Gates of Fire, which tells the story of the Spartans at Thermopylae. Others include, Tides of War, The Virtues of War, the Legend of Bagger Vance, and the forthcoming The Afghan Campaign.
