My dad just finished reading her newest to us. For those of you who don't know her, she is the authoress of "Because of Winn Dixie" recently made into a movie. For those of you who STILL don't know, just take my word on this one. SHE IS THE BEST CHILDRENS AUTHOR EVER! (aside from Brian Jacques, who's just the best writer in general).

She captures human emotions in a stunning way, without becoming to sappy.

Read "The tale of Desperaux." It is AMAZING.

I loved "The Tale of Desperaux". She is definately one of the best children's authors out there today.
