Crime and Punishment Dombey and Son (and anything Dic-kens) The Moonstone Eh... Why not? LOTR and The Hobbit Sylvia and Bruno Not novels, but Shakespeare's stuff is great. But "The Hunting of the Snark" tops 'em all.

**derails** A hypothetical book that has remained on my shelf through my clearout is to me a classic. With my small space, I am very selective about the books to go on my shelf. The rest go in the basement. ;D

In no particular order:
A Tale of Two Cities Pride and Prejudice Dracula The Phantom of the Opera Treasure Island Shakespeare (I love Shakespeare) Le Morte de Arthur LotR & Narnia (of course) Rebecca
I'm in the middle of Ivanhoe, and really enjoying it. So what if it's a little historically inaccurate? And I'm starting Les Miserables as a book on CD, since there is no way I would be able to read it as a regular book.

I started Les Mis... it was one of those horrible editions where every so-called scholar and his mother pokes in several hundred pages by way of introduction. I got bored with that and put it down.

I always skip that kind of introduction. I figure, what better way to learn about the book then by reading it? And as for Victor Hugo; the only thing that kept me reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame was the fact that I was getting extra credit in my French class for it.

HOW CAN YOU LIKE PRIDE AND PREJUDICE< AND SENSE AND SENSABILITY!?!?! they have no plot whatsoever. Huck Fin is my personal favorite.

Hey, don't diss Jane Austin. Pride and Prejudice is really funny, and it's supposed to light and full of fluff.

I don't doubt it can be funny. However, I had the displeasure of seeing the Movie "Sense and Senseability" and I saw no plot develope throughout. Indeed you may enjoy the books, I however, do not. Mayhap I might read them someday. LOL ;D
