I don't know if anyone else loves the old gentleman from New England like I do, but I think he was possibly the master of the horror story. "The Statement of Randolf Carter" still freaks me out to this day. And "The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward" is possibly one of my favorite pieces of fiction of all time.
Anyone else like Lovecraft?

I've only read one short story of his...it was satisfyingly chilling. I need to remember to read some more of his when I have the chance. <imprints memo into brain>

Ah the Call of Cthulu and Necronomicon--Lovecraft was a genius.
Poem I wrote in Lovecraftian fashion:
Madness circling drawing me down to the depths reading your book giving my anger new look
like a demon circling lurking trying to escape
Cthulu's call and the pit of despair Anger never rare Cthulu's cult calls mauls My anger into rage Tearing demonic page
Cthulu's bite and his Leviathan Engulfs my rage Tearing demonic page A laughing psychotic dances on the stage Chanting Cthulu's call.
