J. Ardian Lee's books (Son of the Sword, Outlaw Sword, Sword of King James, Sword of the White Rose) are incredible. The story which spans the four books is set in motion by one of the Fair Folk and involves time travel. The saga's main character goes back in time to the Scotish highlands in the late 17th/early 18th century and lives among his ancestors and takes part in the Jacobite rebellions. There's some real mind-bending predestination paradox material in here too. So, if you like SRL's fantasizations of history, and you also like time travel stories (I love them, personally), then you'd probably enjoy J. Ardian Lee's books.

Maybe I'll check them out too...

I will! But whether I'll have anything to say is another story...

I just finished reading Son of the Sword and I loved it. All the delights of Scotland, time-traveling, Robin Hood-esque adventure, martial arts, and faeries combined in one! I can't wait to read the next one.

They're all pretty good--although I'll admit that Sword of the White Rose took me some time to get into.

Yes, it is.
I used to have Ms. Lee's email address, but somehow I can't find it now. She's very nice and always answers emails personally.

I have never seen sword of the white rose, I own all the others. Has it come out in Canada? This is one of my favourite non-SLR series

Well, they're printed by Ace books, and they usually release things here an in Canada at the same time. It's been out almost a year now...I would've thought you could be able to find it.
And I'd like to brag for a moment that I have a signed copy of Sword of King James.
