I'm so pumped everyone!
In my history class, the final project will be a book review of a book of my choice from a list the prof. put together. I was scanning the list, looking for a book I wanted to review, and my eye fell upon Christianity and the Celts by Ted Olsen, 2003.
So I checked with him and he said that no one else was reviewing it! After all the SRL I've read, writing a review about the Celts should be fun.
First off, has anyone read this one? And if so, what should I expect?

Nope, I haven't read it, but it sounds like a good read.

I haven't read it either but it does look interesting. I'll be curious to see what you think of it.

Cynan, when do we get to hear what you thought about this book? *Picks up ball that was dropped* A thousand apologies! I completely forgot. Oh well. I thought the book was okay. It definitely started out worse than it ended. In the first chapter, Mr. Olsen said that since not muchis known about the Celts, most of what is recounted is legend or tale. We can have no real proof of anything regarding early Celtic history, he said. Then he launched straight into a long list of claims, forgetting what h had said in the first chapter. I liked the chapters on St. Patrick and St. Brendan, and he ended the book well. But I don't think it's one I'll be adding to my personal library anytime soon. ;D
