???Once again I need the help of SRL fans. I so much want to spread my love of Lawheads books and worlds by introducing my friends to his great writing. However, all his books are equally great and I'm having trouble deciding where to start. If I want to give someone their first SRL book, which book or series should I start with and tell me why? I need some help here.

I would say the Pendragon Cycle.
My reason being thus: I am not a devout Christain of any sort... I first picked up the Pendragon Cycle because of my love of all things Arthurian. And insantly I was astounded by his writing ability. Not because he was a Christain writer or his influence in his writing (a fact I was not aware of until visiting these boards), but by the incredible job of taking the multitude of legends from thousands of sources and melding them into a single, great, work of art. Every word is hand picked and placed with such a deft hand that it would impress anyone from any background. A good gateway into any of his other books.
Thats my reccomendation.

While this might not answer your question straight on it should help. I wouldn't start with his sci-fi, Hall of the dragon king trilogy, or Hero trilogy. Anything else seems good though, and most likely, it really depends on the person.
