I'm getting my B.S. in Geography
As far as the job, I'm going to continue the job I currently have with HEB. I'm a trainer for the Houston Division, get to drive around to the stores and teach classes (Company Orientation, Checker Skills, Alcohol Sellers Training) to new hires. I'll do that through the summer then next fall I'll either go to grad school or accept an offered internship at my church in College Missions.

Yay! I'd look up celebratory pics, but it's been a long day. Just imagine lots of bits of paper and streamers with balloons.

I always liked geography, I just never got around to any college level classes in it. Personally I would recommend grad school. At least a master's as it is only 2 more years, and the pay scale jumps significantly. Not to mention the fact that you get to learn more.

Getting a Master's degree is aa good idea, as long as you don't get that after you get your doctorate, like I did! Someday I will finally be done with school and tests. Large sigh... Currently, I am procrastinating from studying for my 2 day - 16 hr professional exam on Mon that I failed 2 months ago by 2 points!
Anyway, congratulations on the graduation. It is a big accomplishment! Have you had any experience with GIS systems to go along with a geography degree? I'm wondering about the practical applications of geography?!?

I took a required basic GIS class but it's not for me. Pretty much all my fellow geographers are getting jobs either as high school geography teachers or GIS techs. There are plenty of other practical applications for geography, but my application will be to study the Geography of the Former Soviet Union. I want to know their culture so that missionaries can better share the gospel with those peoples.

And here I was thinking I'd get you an HEB gift certificate. Not that the 500 bonus points had any influence. But I guess now, next to that truck, I'll have to reconsider.
Congratulations, Association of Former Students candidate [maroon]Paladin[/maroon]!
