I can't seem to find a Thread dedicated to wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, so I thought that I would start one. It is my sincerest wishes that you all have a Perfect Christmas (whatever you conceive that to be ) and that "every heart will prepare Him room".

Oh, come on people. Let's get into the Spirit. If I don't see some Christmas messages soon, I'm going to hunt you down, find out where you live and beat you senseless with a candy cane. Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Indeed. While my tradition is still in the Advent Fast, I do look forward to the Feast of the Nativity of Christ. This is the Troparion (it's a short hymn that is chanted) that we sing at Royal Vespers on the evening of the 24th, and sing at every service from then until Theophany/Epiphany on Jan 6.
Troparion (Tone 4)
Thy Nativity, O Christ our God, Has shone to the world the Light of wisdom! For by it, those who worshipped the stars, Were taught by a Star to adore Thee, The Sun of Righteousness, And to know Thee, the Orient from on High. O Lord, glory to Thee!
