Ya, I got towed, AGAIN! Here's the story: I had a dilemma, I needed to grab my book for Soc class. I could either park my car a mile away in my designated parking lot and then take a bus back to my dorm, then to my class, and then be late. OR i could drive my car to my dorms and pick up my book then head to class and be on time. Yup, I chose to park in the "Customer parking only" again. I was literally was gone for my car for 10 min. I came back to my car, wait let me rephraze that: I came back to NO car. Yeah they towed it again. So 24 hours later I got it back and was 120 dollars poorer. I later saw a tow truck sitting in the parking lot next to where I had parked just waiting for students to park there and then tow them. What a vulture, and it just makes me infuriated.

That's cruel for them to do that to the students. They should really have a short term parking spot for situations like yours.

Yes they should have short term parking.
And there is parking on campus, my lot just happens to be literally a mile away from my dorm, ugh.
The parking situation on this campus is just horrible

Then you should demand a shuttle! Or a magic carpet. Whichever comes up in disscussions first.

I would request shuttle service since the parking lot is so far away!

There is a shuttle: runs every 15 min- but it doesn't run after 10pm or on weekends- and when I buy groceries that poses a problem. . .
So I suppose my school does try to accomodate us, but it still seems like they could do more. . . *shrugs*

They could do more! You need the safety of the shuttle at night, and weekends they need to at least run every few hours.

You could always try to get a petition going and gain signatures from everyone in your dorm to try and get more done. Using the power of multiple voices will carry more impact to those in power.

Dred is right, the more voices you have, the more impact you will create! Hang in there!

Your options: 1. Storm angrily over to the faculty offices and demand better care of your car. 2. Gather as many students as you can find and "speak the truth in love," signing a petition or something to get your collective voice heard. 3. Or you could just ignore it and rant about it here on the SRL forum. You know, I'd go with option #3, but that's just me. But seriously though, everyone is right about making your thoughts heard. If you're being treated unfairly then there's certainly nothing wrong with honestly asking for a bit more fairness.
