Okay, ya, I stole a grocery cart today, shame on me. . . (but i had so many groceries and the walk was so long!) But anyways, did you know that they have an antilock system of some sort? I was walking the grocery cart to the sidewalk, and it suddenly just stopped, actually i ran into the cart, and bruised my knee a little! And the whole walk home was hell, I had to push the thing with all my might because the wheels just wouldn't turn! Well ya, that's my story, just thought that you'd like a little funny story about my life today! Hope you enjoyed it

Haha, you couldn't just drive to the grocery store? just kidding. Sorry, that was mean.

Did you happen to consider pulling the cart backwards to see if the wheels worked?
I hadn't heard of anti-theft devices in carts before but I guess it makes some sense.

We actually did pull the cart backwards the whole way because it wouldn't move at all forward, but it was still super hard to push it!
People driving past us were probably laughing so hard because me and my roomate were both pushing the cart, backwards!
And I would've drove but the shuttle wasn't running anymore and I wasn't about to walk literally amile to my car because that's the parking structure I got stuck with. . .

Ahhhh. Sounds like one of those fun things you can look back on years from now and get a good laugh at. You know how the older generation tells stories about how rough they had it. You can say in your day you had to push grocery carts backwards because they didn't work running forwards.
