Okay, so here's the deal. The interpretation program I am in is offering a three week course in Italy. . .we'll learn Italian Sign Language along with Italian and History of the Italian Deaf and something else. . .
The problem:
I REALLY want to go. . .however, it'll easily be $4500 to get myself over there. Then take into account souvenirs and such and I'm looking at needing about $5000. . .I'm flat broke at the moment.
Anyone got brilliant ideas on how to raise $5000 by May so I can go to Italy???

I cashed in some debts from my mom and got a loan from my grandparents when I went to Spain...

I did the same as CoI when I went to London and Otakon. Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to see if the interpretation program has some kind of scholarship/loan program avilable. That's the other thing that helped me get to London.

Yeah, I'm going to try and see if I can get some grants/scholarships but it's not going to cover it all. . .
how much did your flights there cost you?

Yeah, when I went to Europe for 3 weeks, it cost me $3500 and that was 10 years ago... I sent letters to all of my relatives, explaining what the situation was and asking if anyone would be able to help either monitarily or in prayer.
I raised half that amount and my grandparents covered the rest. Do you have anything you can list on Ebay? I've made quite a bit by selling my books recently.
