www.onemorelevel.com/games.php?game=415This one is actually good fun, and doesn't take a real long time to play....once. However, after about 25 games, you realize just how much time has passed...

Yeah, I need to place my towers in better proximity to each other and vary the types of attacks better. Very addicting... thanks Dgan.

No problem ...most everyone I talk to gets hung up somewhere between 70 - 76...how the designer made it into the 90s I have no idea.

Couple of tricks. I did the math. Ignoring the range for now, the highest cost/damage ratio you can reach is 3.78 which can be attained by upgrading the plant tower as high as it can go. I find that you can usually build about half a dozen of these through the course of the game before you eventually die. Another trick is that the towers fire MUCH faster when firing at right angles. 12, 3, 6, and 9 oclock. So building your towers at the end (or beginning) of a "straightaway" will get the most out of them. Another thing I've tried is upgrading the Water tower all the way to max. It's cost/damage ratio is only 2.18, but from the middle of the screen it can hit anything on the map. So you figure it is able to sustain fire for 20 seconds, that probably makes up for causing less damage per shot. So any combination of well located Water and Plant towers will normally get you into the 70s. I actually found that building 4 plant towers in a row at the bottom of the screen between the two straightaways got me to level 79 (adding more in other places as I got more money). The fire towers, as far as I can tell, are nearly worthless. They have limited range and lower cost/damage ratio than the others. The wildcard is the flower tower. Reasoning would tell you that if you could get that second upgrade, which costs 15k, that tower could destroy anything. The problem is that it is 3k for the build, 5k for the first upgrade, and 15k for the the second upgrade. So that means you have to make 23k. Even if you averaged $50 per monster killed (which doesn't happen until around level 40 I think), you would obviously have to kill 460 monsters. There are 8 monsters in each wave, so that means you would have to kill 58 waves of monsters. BUT - you have to spend money on other towers obviously to kill those monsters. 1 plant tower fully upgraded is 2370. So that is another 6 waves of monsters per plant tower that you build. Considering you don't make the big bucks until later, I calculate even with only 4 plant towers, you would need to get to around level 84 to get the second upgrade on the flower tower. I have only been able to get to about 65 using that philosophy and then I have to start building anything I can to get any further. So...that's where I'm at. See, this is what happens when my fantasy football season ends.

Or is this what happens at 2:00 in the morning? Yeah. Pretty much. Being at work at 2am...not a whole lot of fun...I would avoid it if possible.
