Ok, so as a quick recap, I'm a sabre fencer, and so is my younger sister. So anyway, their was a MAJOR world cup in southern France last weekend that she and two other girls from our club went to.
Individually, they didn't do so well so they were kind of down about that so the next day, for the tea event they set it up so they were all on the same team just so they could have a good time. Well they wernt the only girls from the US there so they entered as the second string B team while the other girls where the A team.
So first they draw Germany (which is tough) and just wiped the floor with them. Next they draw Russia (whom train some of the greatest sabre fencers of our day) and where down 30 points (first one to 45 wins) and came back and won 45-43. So now, they only ones between them and their gold medal is the US A team. Needless to say, where destroyed by my sister and clubmates. So I am now the brother of a world cup champion! How awesome is that!? =P

Fencing is like...like... like you get to learn sword stuff that you read about in books! I'd love to learn how to fence!
