Wow! A new Harry Potter movie AND a new Narnia movie!! The only thing that would top this is a new Peter Jackson film... "The Hobbit".
Did you guys catch this? "Rowling released the sixth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, last July, while the seventh and final installment is expected by the end of the year."
YAY!!!! Book 7 for Christmas!!!! *bounces*

I doubt the accuracy of that.
She said when HBP came out this summer that she was wasn't writing on the book at all for at least a year. That means she's not even starting the book until July/August. I very sincerely doubt she gets it completed and publishable by October--the minimum deadline for getting a completed book on the shelf by the end of this year.
More likely, it'll be 2007 before we see HP7.

I am so excited about Prince Caspian! And I'm happy that they're bringing the original cast, plus Andrew Adamson, back for it. Yayness!

Yeah, it'll rock. I figure the next after PC will be Dawn Treader, and then maybe they'll treat us to The Silver Chair.
The Magician's Nephew would make a decent movie also.
The other two...well, I'm not that THaHB would make a great movie (since most of the story is told in flashback, and the main action happens mostly at the end), and then TLB is pretty much not marketable, being a book about death, armageddon, and heaven/hell. It and THaHB have the most heavy Christian storylines (not even disguised like in LLW), and it'd be hard to imagine the current mindset out there letting something like that be made.
Especially since these are being produced by Disney.

Rockin.
I can't wait for 07. My guess would be that when the next HP movie comes out the book will come out as well. Timed to get the interest maxed.
I must reread the CSL series.
