Okay, so this morning I got up and I came over to the school because I needed to do some research for debate, right? I'm sitting in the computer lab and the fire alarm goes off. . .grr. . .
So like after a half hour of waiting for the fire alarm to be silenced so that I can go finish my research (which I should be doing now!) they finally come out and tell us it's all clear, we can come back inside. I come back to find the computer lab has been locked. Okay, fine. . .we stand and wait for a few minutes until the tech guy shows up. Right as the tech guy shows up, my roommate calls me and ask where I am (since I had called to get my stapler). I tell her where I am and as I'm on the phone with her a kid that I went to high school with passes me. Now, keep in mind. . .I went to high school in Northern Utah. . .I'm in Central New Mexico!!! I told myself that it wasn't him, met my roommate to get my stapler and came back inside. I couldn't shake the feeling that I really did know the kid, so I made an excuse to get up from my chair and went to talk to him. Sure enough. . .it was him. I about died! I couldn't believe it!
Crazy, no? Two years out of high school, completely different state and here he is. . .weird

That is a huge coincidence. Really fun and wild.

I don't really believe in coincidences. I think it happened on purpose.

I don't really believe in coincidences. I think it happened on purpose. I think it's great you found someone you have something in common with. I wouldn't toss it off as chance either.

Maybe chance, maybe not. Good for you, though, seeing someone you know so far from home.

That's really cool. (<--cool face) Someone you knew well, or just an acquaintance? Oh! Something similar happened to me last week. Someone in my poetry writing class happens to be a guy I met at a summer retreat about four years ago. Crazy weird, huh?

that is crazy weird. . .
He wasn't a like a good friend, but I knew him fairly well from traveling on trips to the local high schools with him and his partner
