I think it's safe to say we've ALL been missing in action. When this Forum stopped being directly attached to Stephen's website and/or Facebook page I think few people knew how to get here. Well I've started posting the link around the Internet. So if you have returned here, make a point of coming back rountinely and you will start running into the former members. Like ME. Let's get the discussions going around again. Love Laura-Lee (aka. maidryn) www.myspace.com/stephenlawheadfans

Glad to see you back, Maidryn! I'm just wondering, you say you can't figure out how to fix the malfunctioning features of the forum (like editing posts, editing profiles, etc.)? Another huge problem is that the coding of the site seems to be corrupted or messed up so that if you are using any web browser other than Internet Explorer (such as Firefox, Chrome, or Safari), the site won't let you log in, and anywhere you may accidentally click other than a working hyperlink will take you to the post announcing Mr. Lawhead's first book of the Bright Empire Series. Do you happen to have access to the actual coding of the website (like the HTML or other type of coding)? Even if you don't know how to fix it, there are other people who would probably be happy to (I have a friend or two majoring in computer science who could probably at least help in fixing the coding issues). I honestly think it will be extremely difficult to revive this dear place without fixing the technical problems which seem to have caused the exodus in the first place - but! If we can fix these problems, then I will be more than happy to help in bringing it back to life!

So the problem, Dear Squire, is even BIGGER than I thought. it's not just about my tech difficulties. I have NO admin access but I've 'talked' through emails with other Lawhead fans that they wish to have a Forum again. Do YOU have any ideas? Can we start another Forum somewhere? I need to hear from someone who used to be an administrator here. Surely we MUST be able to do SOMETHING! Waiting hopefully. Laura-Lee (aka. maidryn)

How do you feel about starting a new forum from scratch, then? I know a site we can make a decent free forum on, and I can email Mr. Lawhead and see if we can get his approval to make it the new "official" Stephen Lawhead Fan Forum. Think it is a good idea? (Since the admins on this forum seem to have dropped of the face of the Internet?)

Well, I've actually already heard back from Mr. Lawhead (much faster than I expected!), and he said that he'd be happy to give his blessing to, and even help promote, a new "official" Reader Forum! I don't want to do this alone, so I'm not going to move forward until some of you all want to get in on rebooting our community. Whaddaya say? Wanna go for it? N.B.- I think it would be easier to figure this out via email, so if you want to contact me: revolutionary pan (at) gmail (dot) com

My thought is to resurrect this discussion group on GoodReads.com as a "group". There are quite a few advantages to this: (1) There are LOTS of readers on the site ... anything we discuss or post might draw more folks to discover and read Lawhead's work. (2) There is built in discussion software for Groups ... that should allow us to focus on discussing things and not on keeping the bugs at bay. (3) There is already one small group on there with a Stephen Lawhead discussion ... it is small, yes, but if we join in, build it up, and promote it, then it can only get better. Here is the link: www.goodreads.com/group/show/30566-stephen-r-lawhead Anyway, if we made something like this official and emailed every single person who was a former member here, we might bring it back. What say you?

Honestly, I feel really dirty using it and hope Chrome doesn't get mad, but only for you people would I do such a thing! SO much has changed for me... have to go post some things in another section
